Yesterday, the Communist Party of India (CPI) held a protest at the Press Club in Jammu, demanding the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood. The protest was led by CPI State Secretary com. Ghulam Mohammad Mizrab and National Council member com. Rakesh Sharma.

During the protest, the Communist Party of India (CPI) reiterated its demand that the commitment made by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah be fulfilled. The Prime Minister and Home Minister had assured that after the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, statehood would be restored immediately. However, even after six months since the elections, this promise remains unfulfilled. The CPI questioned why the government was going back on its word and urged for the swift restoration of statehood so that governance and development issues in the region could be addressed effectively.

A twelve members delegation of Communist Party of India (CPI) led by Rama Krushna Panda , Secretary National Council and Secretary International Department met Hon’ble minister and head of the international department Communist Party Of China Com. Liu Jinchao and discussed various issues on international development and particularly on friendship between the two countries , Parties and on peoples to people relationship of both the countries.
The other member of the delegation are Com. Mahesh Rathi, National Council Member and editor Mukti Sangharsh, kanak Gogoi, State Secretary of Assam, Sanjay Kumar, National Council Member , Sukhjinder Mahesari ,President AIYF, Dinesh Seerangaraj ,General Secretary AISF, Prakash Narhar Raju Desale, asst. Secretary Maharastra, Eswaraiah Gujjula , state secretariat member Andhara pradesh , Satyanand Mukund, state secretariat member , Karnataka, Prince Viliyapara Simon, Jt secretary BKMU, and state council member Kerala and Isha Sharma, General secretary NFIW Rajasthan.

Today, the All India Student Federation (AISF) held an important meeting in Jammu district. The meeting was attended by senior leader Rakesh Kumar, AISF State President Sanjay Kotwal, and other prominent leaders of AISF, including Zulfiqar Khan, Pervez Ahmed, Dhara Singh, Mudassar Ahmed, Naik Mohammad, and Qadeer Choudhary.
