The Two-Day National Conference on “Intersections of Literature, Media and Design in Shaping Social Narratives”, organized by the School of Humanities, ARKA JAIN University, concluded successfully with an engaging Valedictory Session.
The session was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Angad Tiwari, Pro Vice Chancellor, ARKA JAIN University, along with Dr. Rahul Amin, Convener of the Conference and Assistant Dean, School of Humanities. The occasion was further honoured by Dr. Rajkumari Ghosh, HoD, Department of English, Ms. Usha Kiran Barla, HoD, Department of English, and Dr. Manoj Pathak, Organizing Secretary and Associate Professor, Department of English.
The valedictory session reflected upon the key highlights of the conference, celebrated the contributions of scholars and researchers from various institutions, and recognized outstanding paper presentations. Certificates were distributed to the participants, marking the successful culmination of two days of vibrant academic dialogue and collaboration.
The conference served as a dynamic platform for scholars, academicians, and students to exchange ideas and explore interdisciplinary perspectives on how literature, media, and design shape contemporary social narratives.

The School of Humanities, Arka Jain University, Jharkhand, successfully commenced the Two-Day National Conference on “Intersections of Literature, Media and Design in Shaping Social Narratives” with great enthusiasm and intellectual engagement.
The inaugural session began with a welcome address by Dr. Rahul Amin, Dean, School of Humanities and Convener of the Conference, who highlighted the growing significance of interdisciplinary dialogue between literature, media, and design in shaping contemporary social narratives.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. S. S. Razi, Chairperson, Board of Management; Dr. Arvind Pandey, Director, IQAC; and Dr. Angad Tiwari, Pro Vice Chancellor, whose presence added prestige to the occasion.
The Chief Guest, Dr. R. S. Dayal (Former Head, Department of English and Cultural Studies, Kolhan University) delivered an insightful session emphasizing the importance of linguistic studies and their relevance across the fields of media, literature, and design.
The Keynote Speaker, Ms. Nikunj Naredi, Senior Designer and Entrepreneur, conducted an inspiring session on the role of design in everyday life, sharing her professional journey and her commitment to sustainability through her zero-waste design initiative, “Ahimsa.”
The day concluded with an engaging technical session, where participants from various universities presented their research papers, fostering meaningful academic exchange and discussions.

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication in association with the IPR Cell of AJU successfully organized a workshop on Photography and AI-Integration in Media and Journalism.

The session was conducted by Mr. Bhado Majhi, Principal Correspondent at Hindustan (Hindustan Times Group), Jamshedpur. He shared valuable insights on the role of AI in modern photography and journalism.

The workshop was interactive, informative, and highly beneficial for students.
