> It is situated at central part of the city popularly known as Bistupur. KMPM offers courses in all three streams of 10+2 classes viz. Arts, Science and Commerce.

ecent times admissions were restricted to wards of Tata Steel employees only, but lately it has opened its door for others also.

>Bachelor of Business Administration;

>Bachelor of Science Information Technology;

"बचपन तो मेरा बहुत अच्छा था। लेकिन जब माता-पिता का तलाक हुआ तो हम भाईयों को बहुत परेशानी उठानी पड़ी। उस ज़माने में तलाक आज की तरह कोई नॉर्मल बात नहीं थी।" कुछ साल पहले रतन टाटा जी ने एक इंटरव्यू में ये बातें कही थी। उस इंटरव्यू में रतन टाटा ने अपने जीवन की कई बातों पर रोशनी डाली थी। उन्होंने बताया था कि माता-पिता के तलाक के बाद उनकी दादी ने उनका बहुत ख्याल रखा।

जब उनकी मां ने दूसरी शादी कर ली थी तब स्कूल के दूसरे बच्चे उनके बारे में तरह-तरह की बातें करते थे। कुछ लड़के छेड़ते थे। तो कुछ उकसाने की कोशिश करते थे। उन बातों पर रतन टाटा को बहुत गुस्सा आता था। लेकिन दादी उस वक्त उन्हें शांत रहने को कहती थी। दादी कहती थी कि किसी भी कीमत पर अपनी प्रतिष्ठा बनाए रखनी है। उस इंटरव्यू में रतन टाटा ने पिता संग अपने रिश्तों पर भी बात की थी।

रतन टाटा ने बताया था कि मैं वॉयलिन बजाना सीखना चाहता था। पिता कहते थे कि पियानो सीखो। मैं अमेरिका में पढ़ना चाहता था। पिता मुझे ब्रिटेन भेजना चाहते थे। मुझे आर्किटेक्ट बनना था। लेकिन पिता ज़िद करते थे कि मैं इंजीनियर ही बनूं। मगर बाद में दादी की मदद से मैं अमेरिका की कॉर्नेल यूनिवर्सिटी पढ़ने गया। शुरू में मैंने मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग में दाखिला लिया था। लेकिन बाद में मैंने आर्किटेक्चर में डिग्री ली।
