🩸 Blood Donation Camp Successfully Organized at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur

RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with MGM, with financial support from HDFC Bank, Mango Branch. The camp was inaugurated by Shri Binda Singh, Chairman of RVS Educational Trust.

The occasion was graced by Shri Shatrughna Singh, Treasurer of RVS Educational Trust; Shri Shakti Singh, Governing Body Member; Dr. B.V.K. Chaudhary, Head of the Blood Donation Department at MGM; Mr. Raghav Kumar; Mr. Sanjay Kumar; and representatives from HDFC Bank — Sahil Raj Singh, Imam Khan, and Prabhat Bhaskar.

All the dignitaries were warmly welcomed by the Principal of the institution, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, staff, and trainees of the Skill Development Centre.

All donors were felicitated with gifts and provided nutritious refreshments.

From Classroom to Innovation: Visit to NIT Jamshedpur Incubation Centre

Our students recently had the opportunity to visit the Incubation Centre at NIT Jamshedpur on 24th April 2026. The visit provided valuable insights into the startup ecosystem, innovation processes, and entrepreneurial support systems.

From understanding how ideas transform into viable ventures to exploring real-time projects, the experience was both inspiring and informative. Interactions with experts and exposure to advanced facilities encouraged students to think beyond classrooms and towards impactful innovation.

R.V.S College of Engineering & Technology, Jamshedpur organised an Expert Talk on “IEEE Student Chapter and Its Professional Benefits for Engineering Students” on 11th April 2026.

The session by Dr. Veerpratap Meena (NIT Jamshedpur) highlighted the role of IEEE in career development, research opportunities, and global exposure. Students also gained insights into establishing and managing IEEE Student Chapters.

The session witnessed active participation and proved to be informative and enriching.

Hosted an engaging industry interaction on Career Readiness with Mr. Anurag Kirti, Recruitment Lead India, Lexmark.

Moving beyond textbook discussions, the session unpacked what actually matters in today’s hiring landscape — clarity of skills, adaptability, and the ability to stand out with intent. Students gained a practical perspective on aligning their academic journey with evolving industry expectations.

What stood out wasn’t just the insights, but the shift in mindset , from preparing for exams to preparing for careers.

A meaningful step towards bridging the gap between classroom learning and corporate reality.

Preparing Students Today to Power the Industry Tomorrow

As India’s renewable energy sector grows, the need for industry-ready engineers is more important than ever. Bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations is key to shaping future professionals.

With this vision, Switching AVO conducted a Job Readiness Program at our first Centre of Excellence ( ) - RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, for students of the Electrical Engineering stream.

Ms. Parboti Pal, Vice President, Switching AVO Electro Power Limited, interacted with the students and shared insights about AVO’s journey, purpose, milestones, and future pursuits in the energy sector.

She also conducted interactions and interviews with the students to assess their technical knowledge, confidence, and readiness to join the industry.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Thakur, HOD - EEE Department, RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, whose presence added valuable academic guidance.
