KOLHAN CULTURAL & EDUCATIONAL FESTIVAL
Kolhan geographical jurisdiction of East Singhbhum, West Singhbhumand, Seraikela, Kharsawan District. Consist of 1 University with 14 Constituent Colleges and 12 Affiliated Colleges, Therefore the total number of students enrolled is 63,642, and more than 500 plus schools , with more than 70,000 students and kids . This festival is started to bring students t

alents into state level, and getting them a bigger platform. This 3 days festival to be held in the month of April. We would invite all Schools and colleges from these districts, to offer their school or college students to come and perform with their various talents. As we know education plays a vital role in our children’s life ,we also include a education fair along with it, bringing institutions from various parts of the Nation. These institutes to offer scholarship for talented, tribals and bright students.

WHAT IS STUDIENKOLLEG?

If you a recent high school graduate, with a certificate that is not recognized by the higher educational institutions in Germany, then there are two paths to follow. The first one comprises of enrolling at a university in your home country, for at least one year, after which you can directly apply to a German university, if you meet the language requirements. The second choice is attending the Studienkolleg in Germany.

Studienkolleg is a form of preparatory courses for those willing to study at a university in Germany. It usually lasts for one year, which is equivalent to two semesters, with the possibility of repeating only one semester. It is divided into 4 courses, each with varying subjects and depending on one’s choice of future studies, which are as follows:

T-Kurs : German , Mathematics , Physics , Chemistry and Informatics
M-Kurs : German , Mathematics , Physics , Chemistry and Biology
W-Kurs : German , Mathematics , Economics , Business and Sociology
G-Kurs : German , History , German Literature , Sociology and Statistics

Why Study in Germany?
1. With more than 409 higher education institutions across the country, Germany provides each student with the possibility to choose more than 14,500 Bachelor and Master degree programmes.
2.11 out of the 16 states in Germany have no tuition fees at all, while some states require a maximum of only 500€ per year.
3. German universities and their professional academie staff offer high quality and up to date education in Engineering, Medicine, Scienec and Economies.
4. The cost of living, on average, is around 700-800€ including rent, food, transport, health insurance, telephone/internet, study materials and leisure activities.
5. There are many scholarship possibilities offered for international students to fund their studies by DAAD(German Academic Exchange Service) and also many political and business foundations.
6. Many universities offer international courses in English language as well. So knowing German to study in Germany is not mandatory but is recommended.
7. International students are allowed to work for 90 full working days or 180 half working days in a ycar in order to support themselves. Typical student wages range from 10 to 15 Euros an hour.
8. Foreign students are allowed to stay for a year after graduation, in the event of looking for a job. Germany offer long-term work opportunities for successful students.
9. Besides studying, you have the chance to live and explore one of the world's most developed countries and its unique culture, history and landscape.
