18 September 2026: The TEJAS – Transforming Entrepreneurial Journeys Across States & Districts programme for Koraput district was organised today at Vikram Dev University, Jeypore. The programme was organised with the support of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Startup India and Startup Odisha, with collaboration from the IIT Bhubaneswar Research and Entrepreneurship Park.
The programme was organised at Lecture Theatre–2 (L-2) of the University with the objective of creating awareness among students, youth and entrepreneurs about startups and entrepreneurship, familiarising them with the startup ecosystem, and informing them about various government support schemes and opportunities available for entrepreneurial ventures.
During the inaugural session, Dr. Shobhankar Pati, CEO, IIT Bhubaneswar Research and Entrepreneurship Park, delivered the welcome address. Shri Smruti Ranjan Pradhan, IAS, CEO, Startup Odisha, spoke about various initiatives of Startup Odisha and the promotion and development of entrepreneurship.
In his address, Prof. Hrushikesh Senapati, Vice-Chancellor, Vikram Dev University, encouraged the youth to go beyond conventional employment opportunities and create new avenues through innovative ideas, creativity and entrepreneurship. He highlighted the vast potential for establishing new enterprises in Koraput district by utilising local resources, knowledge and talent.
On the occasion, the guests, speakers and organisers were felicitated. Prof. Brajabandhu Nanda proposed the vote of thanks.
In the subsequent session, Shri Anshul Gautam, Assistant Manager, Startup India, DPIIT, delivered a detailed presentation on “Startup India Initiatives & Benefits” and various aspects of the startup ecosystem. Dr. Jyotsnarani Jena, Consultant, Startup Odisha, explained the startup ecosystem in Odisha, the support provided by Startup Odisha, and the benefits available under OSP 2016.
One of the major sessions of the day was titled “Unlocking Odisha’s Startup Potential – The Role of Incubators, Industry & Government.” Experts deliberated on how the startup potential of Odisha could be further strengthened through the coordinated role of incubators, industry and government.
The session was attended by Dr. Shubhankar Pati, CEO, IIT-REP; Shri Shiva Subramanyam, AI Transformation Manager, HCLTech; Shri Dhirendra Nath Behera, Addl. Director, STPI; and Shri Tapan Kumar Samantaray, GM, NALCO, among others.
The subsequent session focused on “Fuelling Innovation, Fostering Change: Role of Institutional Incubators.” In the afternoon, the technical session titled “The Journey from Idea to Enterprise” featured success stories of startups such as Bookyberg Pvt. Ltd. and Trade Viser, highlighting their entrepreneurial journeys and experiences.
Towards the concluding phase of the programme, a panel discussion was held on “Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Koraput – From Local Resources to Sustainable Enterprises.” The discussion focused on developing sustainable enterprises based on the local resources of Koraput, exploring new business opportunities, and identifying the potential available for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The TEJAS programme brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, students, startup founders and individuals associated with entrepreneurship on a common platform, providing opportunities for knowledge sharing, networking and mentorship. The programme was organised in collaboration with Startup Odisha, DPIIT and other partner institutions.
A large number of students, young entrepreneurs, faculty members, researchers and representatives from various sectors participated in the programme and gained valuable insights into startups, innovation and entrepreneurship.

ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ଲେକ୍ଚର ଥିଏଟର–୨ (L-2) ଠାରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ଥିଲା ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ, ଯୁବପିଢ଼ି ଓ ଉଦ୍ୟୋଗୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଷ୍ଟାର୍ଟଅପ୍ ଓ ଉଦ୍ୟମିତା ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ସଚେତନତା ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା, ଷ୍ଟାର୍ଟଅପ୍ ଇକୋସିଷ୍ଟମ୍ ସହିତ ପରିଚିତ କରାଇବା ଏବଂ ଉଦ୍ୟମୀ ଯାତ୍ରା ପାଇଁ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ ସରକାରୀ ସହାୟତା ଓ ସୁଯୋଗ ବିଷୟରେ ଅବଗତ କରାଇବା।
ଉଦ୍ଘାଟନୀ ଅଧିବେଶନରେ IIT Bhubaneswar Research and Entrepreneurship Parkର CEO ଡଃ ଶୋଭନକର ପତି ସ୍ୱାଗତ ଅଭିଭାଷଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ। Startup Odishaର CEO ଶ୍ରୀ ସ୍ମୃତି ରଞ୍ଜନ ପ୍ରଧାନ, IAS Startup Odishaର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ଓ ଉଦ୍ୟମିତା ବିକାଶ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ଅଭିଭାଷଣ ରଖିଥିଲେ।
ବିକ୍ରମଦେବ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର କୁଳପତି ପ୍ରଫେସର ହୃଷିକେଶ ସେନାପତି ତାଙ୍କ ଅଭିଭାଷଣରେ ଯୁବପିଢ଼ିଙ୍କୁ ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ଚାକିରି ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ ସହିତ ନୂତନ ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରା, ନବସୃଜନ ଓ ଉଦ୍ୟମିତା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ନିଜସ୍ୱ ସୁଯୋଗ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବାକୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ସମ୍ପଦ, ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ପ୍ରତିଭାକୁ ଆଧାର କରି କୋରାପୁଟ ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ନୂତନ ଉଦ୍ୟମ ଗଢ଼ି ତୋଳିବାର ବ୍ୟାପକ ସୁଯୋଗ ରହିଛି ବୋଲି ସେ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖ କରିଥିଲେ।
ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଅତିଥି, ବକ୍ତା ଓ ଆୟୋଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନିତ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ପ୍ରଫେସର ବ୍ରଜବନ୍ଧୁ ନନ୍ଦ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଅର୍ପଣ କରିଥିଲେ।
ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଅଧିବେଶନରେ Startup India, DPIITର Assistant Manager ଶ୍ରୀ ଅଂଶୁଲ ଗୌତମ ‘Startup India Initiatives & Benefits’ ଏବଂ ଷ୍ଟାର୍ଟଅପ୍ ଇକୋସିଷ୍ଟମ୍ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ବିସ୍ତୃତ ଆଲୋଚନା କରିଥିଲେ। Startup Odishaର Consultant ଡଃ ଜ୍ୟୋତ୍ସ୍ନାରାଣୀ ଜେନା ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଷ୍ଟାର୍ଟଅପ୍ ଇକୋସିଷ୍ଟମ୍, Startup Odishaର ସହାୟତା ଏବଂ OSP 2016 ଅଧୀନରେ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ ସୁବିଧା ବିଷୟରେ ଅବଗତ କରାଇଥିଲେ।ଦିନର ଏକ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଅଧିବେଶନ ଥିଲା “Unlocking Odisha’s Startup Potential – The Role of Incubators, Industry & Government”। ଏଥିରେ ଇନ୍କ୍ୟୁବେଟର, ଶିଳ୍ପ ଓ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ଭୂମିକା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଷ୍ଟାର୍ଟଅପ୍ ସମ୍ଭାବନାକୁ କିପରି ଆଗକୁ ନିଆଯାଇପାରିବ, ସେନେଇ ବିଶେଷଜ୍ଞମାନେ ମତବିନିମୟ କରିଥିଲେ।

କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ଶେଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟରେ “Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Koraput – From Local Resources to Sustainable Enterprises” ବିଷୟରେ ପ୍ୟାନେଲ୍ ଆଲୋଚନା ହୋଇଥିଲା। କୋରାପୁଟର ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ସମ୍ପଦକୁ ଆଧାର କରି ଟିକେଇଥିବା ଉଦ୍ୟମ ଗଠନ, ନୂତନ ବ୍ୟବସାୟିକ ସୁଯୋଗ ଓ ଉଦ୍ୟମୀମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସମ୍ଭାବନା ଉପରେ ଆଲୋଚନା କରାଯାଇଥିଲା।
ଏହି TEJAS କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ନୂତନ ଉଦ୍ୟମୀ, ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ, ଷ୍ଟାର୍ଟଅପ୍ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠାତା ଓ ଉଦ୍ୟମିତା ସହ ଜଡ଼ିତ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ମଞ୍ଚରେ ଆଣିବା ସହିତ ଜ୍ଞାନ ବିନିମୟ, ନେଟୱର୍କିଂ ଓ ମାର୍ଗଦର୍ଶନର ସୁଯୋଗ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରୁଛି। କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମଟି Startup Odisha, DPIIT ଏବଂ ସହଯୋଗୀ ସଂସ୍ଥାମାନଙ୍କ ସହଭାଗିତାରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ ହୋଇଛି।
କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ, ଯୁବ ଉଦ୍ୟମୀ, ଶିକ୍ଷକ, ଗବେଷକ ଓ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ମହଲର ପ୍ରତିନିଧିମାନେ ଯୋଗଦେଇ ଷ୍ଟାର୍ଟଅପ୍, ନବସୃଜନ ଓ ଉଦ୍ୟମିତା ସମ୍ପର୍କିତ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବିଷୟରେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଆହରଣ କରିଥିଲେ।
ଏହି ‘TEJAS’ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ କୋରାପୁଟ ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ଉଦ୍ୟମିତାର ନୂତନ ସୁଯୋଗ, ନବସୃଜନ ଓ ଷ୍ଟାର୍ଟଅପ୍ ସଂସ୍କୃତିକୁ ଆହୁରି ସୁଦୃଢ଼ କରିବାରେ ସହାୟକ ହେବ ବୋଲି ଆଶା ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇଛି।
