Day 6: 23rd Sept., 2023: Valedictory Function
The Kalam’s Students’ Council organized valedictory function on the last day of National Forensic Science Week 2023 in the Gandhi auditorium. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest, Hon'ble DIG of Jhansi Range, Mr. Jogendra Kumarji. Joining him were distinguished guests including Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Professor Mukesh Pandey, Registrar Shri Vinay Kumar Singh, Finance Officer Shri Wasi Mohammad, Dean of the Science Faculty, Professor R.K. Saini, Heads of various departments, and esteemed faculty members. Dr. Anu Singla extended a warm welcome to all the guests and expressed gratitude for their valuable time amidst their demanding schedules. Chief guest Hon’ble Mr. Jogendra Kumar in his speech congratulated Hon’ble VC Prof. Mukesh Pandey Sir and our mentor Dr. Anu Singla ma’am for successful organization of the programme. He emphasized the pivotal role of Forensic Science in crime resolution and underscored the imminent surge in employment opportunities within this sector. Hon'ble VC Sir, in his address, conveyed his delight for the commemoration of the National Forensic Science Week and pledged the University's unwavering commitment to empower students with the essential skills, knowledge, and experiences requisite for a successful career in Forensic Science. As a mark of recognition, certificates and commendations were bestowed upon the winners of the competitions held during the week. Additionally, certificates were distributed to students who had successfully completed the recently concluded certificate course in Forensic Photography.

On the penultimate day of National Forensic Science Week 2023, the Kalam’s Students Council organized “Poster Presentation Competition”. This competition served as a platform for students to exhibit their research acumen, creativity, and expertise within the realm of Forensic Science. Ms. Isha Aggarwal from B.Sc. III year secured first rank in the competition.

Day 4: 21st Sept., 2023: Crime Scene Simulation and Investigation
On the fourth day of National Forensic Science Week 2023, the Kalam’s Students Council organized a crime scene simulation and investigation activity to give students a platform to showcase their creativity, observational and investigative skill. The students were divided into two teams for the purpose of this activity. One team was assigned with the preparation and simulation of an outdoor crime scene while the second team was allocated the duties of investigation. The creative team prepared an outdoor crime scene of mass no. of fatalities. The investigation team was further divided into various groups and given specific tasks according to their interests and skills. The activity tested the students for their practical and observational skills. This was followed by an interpretation round where the students were asked to interpret the crime scene and reconstruct it based on their observations and prepare a detailed report with sketches, photographs and notes.

Day 3: 20th Sept., 2023: Debate Competition
On the third day of the 2023 National Forensic Science Week, Kalam University's Students' Council orchestrated a debating competition centered on current issues of significance. The topics of discussion included:
Topic 1: The Bhartiya Nyay Samhita versus the Indian Penal Code of 1859
Topic 2: The Present and Future Landscape of Forensic Science in both India and the global context.
After a meticulous selection process conducted by the council, twelve students were chosen to participate. Ultimately, Mr. Akarsh Mishra and Ms. Vertika Srivastava emerged as the distinguished victors for Topics 1 and 2, respectively.

The Kalam’s Students’ Council is observing National Forensic Science Week from 18th Sept., 2023 to 23rd Sept., 2023 under the guidance of our Hon’ble HOD, Dr. Anu Singla Ma’am in order to extend gratitude towards the invaluable efforts of Forensic Scientists worldwide, who diligently strive for truth and justice. This week is also a celebration of enormous progress, this discipline has made in the past two centuries. Throughout this week, the Kalam’s Students’ Council will be organizing various activities, events and competitions.
Day 1, 18th Sept., 2023: Essay Writing Competition
Today on the first day of National Forensic Science Week 2023, the council organized an essay writing competition for students of B.Sc. (H.) Forensic Science and M.Sc. Forensic Science. A total of 30 participants participated in this competition. Gaurisha Agarwal from B.Sc., Ist year and Kovvuri Dharmitha Sri were selected as winner in their respective categories of the competition by the juries.

The Kalam's Students Council is thrilled to share that we had the privilege of hosting an enlightening lecture on Personality Development by Dr. Gurdeep Tripathi Ma'am. This insightful session was made possible through the dedicated efforts of our mentor, Dr. Anu Singla Ma'am.
With over 19 years of experience in coaching countless students, Dr. Tripathi delved into the multifaceted dimensions of both inner and outer personality. She highlighted that a harmonious blend of inner and outer personality leads to congruence - a state where our external expression aligns with our authentic self. Happy Teachers' Day!!!
The Kalam’s Students Council organized Teachers’ Day Celebration on 05th Sept., 2023, in the departmental auditorium to commemorate the birthday of Late Dr. Sarvepalli RadhaKrishnan (Former President of India). Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was an exemplary teacher and politician, born on 05th Sept. 1888. He served as the first Vice President of India (1952-1962) and second President of India (1962-1967). His birthday is dedicated to teachers and celebrated as Teacher’s Day to celebrate the contribution of teachers towards the society and nation. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dean Academics, Prof. S.P. Singh and Dean Science, Prof. R.K. Saini as the chief guests. Dr. Anu Singla, Head, Forensic Science, Dr. Vijay Kumar Yadav, Assistant Professor and Teaching Assistants, Mr. Chandan Namdev, Dr. Nidhi Yadav, Miss Paurabhi Singh, Dr. Manisha Jain, Mr. Abhinav Srivastav, Dr. Priyanka Tripathi and Mr. Kamlesh Verma blessed students with their auspicious presence. Exploring Corporate Opportunities in Forensic Science
The Kalam’s Students Council in collaboration with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Institute of Forensic Science and Criminology hosted an interactive lecture by alumnus Mr. Neeraj Agrawal, Forensic Executive at Shri Artech India Private Limited, as part of the Alumni Talk, Address & Lecture (ATAL) series. The lecture was intended to provide career counselling to the incoming class of 2023-24 and to facilitate networking opportunities between current students and alumni. Mr. Agrawal delivered an insightful lecture on the career prospects available to Forensic Science students in the private sector. He shed light on the dynamic landscape of Forensic Science within the corporate sector, emphasizing its pivotal role in fraud detection, risk management, cyber-crime investigation and regulatory compliance.

Fort Visit
The students of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Institute of Forensic Science and Criminology visited the Jhansi Fort on 27th August, 2023. Accompanied by our esteemed HOD, Dr. Anu Singla Ma’am and other faculty members Dr. Nidhi Yadav and Miss Paurabhi Singh, students had the opportunity to explore this historical site, spread over an area of 130 acres and with a circumference of approximately 4.5 kilometres. The Jhansi Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Raja Bir Singh Ju Deo of Orchha in 1613. It was later ruled by the Marathas, the Peshwas, and the Scindias. The fort was a major centre of resistance during the Indian Rebellion of 1857, and was commanded by Rani Lakshmibai, the warrior queen of Jhansi. The Kalam’s Students’ Council organized a “Quiz Competition” on 26th Aug., 2023, commemorating the 49th Foundation Day of Bundelkhand University. Three teams – A, B, and C – comprising 3 students each, battled it out after being selected from a bunch of enthusiastic participants. The quiz consisted of 45 questions formulated to gauge participants' knowledge of both Forensic Science and current affairs. At the conclusion of event, Team B emerged victorious.
Our mentor and HOD, Dr. Anu Singla ma’am bestowed certificates upon victors, participants and diligent organizers. She congratulated all the students on their participation and encouraged them to continue learning and growing in their chosen field.
