The Valedictory Session and Award Ceremony of the National Seminar “Evolving Dimensions of Forensic Science in Modern Crime Investigation (EDFMCI-2026)”, organized by the Department of Forensic Science, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, was held at Gandhi Auditorium. The seminar brought together eminent forensic scientists, academicians, researchers, and students from across India to deliberate on emerging technologies and challenges in modern crime investigation.
I express my sincere gratitude to our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Mukesh Pandey sir for his visionary leadership and constant encouragement that made this national seminar possible.
We were honoured by the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Adarsh Kumar, Director, FSL Uttar Pradesh, and Guests of Honour Dr. Ajay Sharma, Director FSL Rajasthan, and Dr. Meenakshi Mahajan, Director FSL Himachal Pradesh, who also delivered an inspiring keynote lecture highlighting the vital role of forensic science in the pursuit of truth and justice.
The seminar featured insightful lectures by eminent experts including Prof. Gyaneshwar Chaubey, Dr. Neeraj Rai, Dr. R. K. Sarin, Prof. Mukesh Kumar Thakkar, Dr. Shaloo Malik, Prof. Amit Dubey, Prof. Rajinder Singh Chandel, Dr. Ankit Srivastava, Dr. Rajesh Yadav, Dr. Pankaj Srivastava, Dr. Kumar Askand Pandey, and Dr. Jaison Sequeria, covering diverse areas such as population genetics, ancient DNA, cybercrime investigation, voice evidence, and forensic DNA analysis.
The event also included engaging technical sessions, poster presentations, and award distribution among faculty members, research scholars, and students.
My heartfelt thanks to all speakers, participants, collaborators, and especially the dedicated student volunteers and organizing team whose tireless efforts made EDFMCI-2026 a memorable academic gathering.
