Smt. Vidyawati College of Nursing, Jhansi celebrated International Nurses Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and dignity. The programme was held at the SVGI Auditorium under the theme:
βOur Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.β
The celebration aimed to honour the dedication, compassion, and valuable contribution of nurses towards society and healthcare services.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Honourable Chairman Sir Vidya Nidhi Mishra Ji and respected AO S.S. Dahiya Ji.
The programme commenced with the Welcome of Guests, followed by the Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolising knowledge, hope, and service to humanity. A graceful Welcome Dance was presented by the students, creating a pleasant atmosphere for the event.
The event also included Certificate Distribution for Excellent Academic Performance to appreciate and encourage the achievements of students. The toppers honoured during the programme were:

B.Sc. Nursing 3rd Semester β Riya β 83.4%
B.Sc. Nursing 5th Semester β Muskan Rajput β 82.3%

Students actively participated in various activities organized for the celebration. A meaningful Skit Performance highlighted the important role of nurses in patient care and healthcare services. The students also showcased their talents through a Speech Competition and a Poetry Recitation, expressing their thoughts and gratitude for the nursing profession.
We organized a special cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate International Nurses Day and honor the noble profession of nursing.
The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Principal Sir, Professor Dr. Virendra Singh Choudhary, during which gratitude was expressed to the honorable guests, management, faculty members, organizing committee, and students for making the event successful. Refreshments were distributed to all attendees at the end of the program.
The celebration was a memorable and inspiring experience for everyone and successfully reflected the values of care, compassion, dedication, and professional excellence in Nursing.
