Live Streaming of the Address of the Hon’ble Governor & Chancellor

Sadhu Ramchand Murmu University of Jhargram organised a live-streaming programme of the address delivered by the Hon’ble Governor and Chancellor at the University of Calcutta on 18 August 2026 at 4:00 P.M. at the Seminar Hall, Room No. B001, University Campus, Jhargram.

The programme was organised under the guidance of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chandradipa Ghosh, to enable the University community to collectively witness the address of the Hon’ble Governor and Chancellor and engage with the important themes and messages conveyed on the occasion.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 100 members of the University community, including students, resource persons, officers, non-teaching staff and other participants. The participants attended the programme with keen interest and followed the address attentively.

Following the live streaming, the University organised an interactive session and discussion, which was attended by 35 participants. The session provided an opportunity for students and other members of the University community to reflect upon the address, exchange views and discuss its relevance in the context of higher education and contemporary society.

The entire programme was conducted in a disciplined and organised manner with the active cooperation of the University administration and participants. The successful organisation of the programme reflected the University’s commitment to promoting awareness, academic engagement and meaningful participation among its students and members of the University community.

The programme was also disseminated through the University’s official social media platforms to facilitate wider outreach and documentation.

The University expresses its sincere appreciation to all the students, faculty/resource persons, officers, staff and other participants for their active cooperation and enthusiastic participation in making the programme successful.

Tiranga Cycle Rally – 17th August, 2026

As the concluding major activity of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign, 2026, Sadhu Ramchand Murmu University of Jhargram organised a Tiranga Cycle Rally on 17th August, 2026, at 8:00 A.M. at Jhargram District Town.

The rally was organised under the guidance of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Dr.) Chandradipa Ghosh, with the objective of promoting patriotism, national unity, respect for the National Flag, responsible citizenship and active participation in the spirit of Janbhagidari.

The rally commenced from Five (5) Point Crossing, Jhargram Town and proceeded towards Sri Ramakrishna Saradapeeth Girls’ High School, Jhargram, via College More Road and Sabitri Mandir Bus Stop.

Students, resource persons, officers and employees of Sadhu Ramchand Murmu University of Jhargram participated enthusiastically in the rally. The participants carried the National Flag of India with due respect and dignity and conveyed messages of patriotism, national unity and responsible citizenship to the wider community.

The rally created a vibrant atmosphere of national pride across Jhargram Town and provided a visible expression of the University’s active participation in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign, 2026. It also encouraged members of the University community to take the message of respect for the National Flag and love for the nation beyond the University campus.

The enthusiastic participation of students and other members of the University reflected the spirit of Janbhagidari and demonstrated their commitment to the values of patriotism, unity and national integration.

The Tiranga Cycle Rally successfully concluded the series of activities organised by Sadhu Ramchand Murmu University of Jhargram from 9th to 17th August, 2026, under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to uphold the dignity of the National Flag and to contribute towards building a strong, united and progressive India.
