💡 IDEAQUEST 2026 | Think. Innovate. Pitch. 🚀

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Government College for Women, Jind successfully organized the 1st Edition of IDEAQUEST – Start-up Idea Pitching Competition, providing students a platform to showcase their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial potential. Six teams participated and pitched their ideas with enthusiasm and confidence. Riya (B.A. Geography Hons.) secured 1st position, Indu (B.Com Final) secured 2nd position, while Palak (BCA) and Khushi, Nancy & Isha jointly secured 3rd position. The competition was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Mohit Rangi, In-charge, Placement Cell, with Dr. Reetu Beniwal, Dr. Himanshu Garg and Mr. Sanjeev serving as esteemed jury members.

Officiating Principal, Sh. Narender Dhull, encouraged the students and congratulated the Entrepreneurship Development Cell for successfully organizing the 1st Edition of IDEAQUEST, appreciating it as a timely and relevant addition to college activities. The event reflected the spirit of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, encouraging students to think beyond the conventional and transform ideas into possibilities.

NCC Cadets Sensitized under TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Under "TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan - Together Towards a TB Free India", an awareness and counselling workshop was organized by 15 Haryana NCC Battalion, Jind in collaboration with PIG Govt. College for Women, Jind, SSSGB Govt. College, Jind and The District TB Center, Civil Hospital, Jind.

Around 100 NCC cadets from both colleges participated. Resource persons Dr. Komal and Dr. Sandeep Goyat from District TB Centre, Civil Hospital, Jind sensitized the cadets on TB symptoms, prevention, treatment, TB Preventive Therapy and the mobile app of the Abhiyan with the theme "TB Harega Desh Jeetega" and "Awareness Today, Healthy Tomorrow".The programme was coordinated by Dr. Jyoti Ladwal, NCC In-charge.

A poster-making competition on TB awareness was also organized.

NCC ENROLMENT 2026-27

NCC Enrolment Drive for the session 2026-27 was successfully conducted on 25.08.2026 at Govt. College for Women, Jind under the guidance of Principal Sh. Shamsher Singh. The enrolment was conducted under the supervision of Capt. Sanjay, 15 Haryana Battalion NCC, Jind. The enrolment process included Physical Test and Written Test. A total of approximately 120 students appeared with great enthusiasm for enrolment in NCC. The drive was efficiently managed by Senior Cadets under the leadership of SUO Priyanshi. Physical efficiency, discipline and overall performance of the students were evaluated during the enrollment.
