आज भारतीय हथकरघा प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, जोधपुर में छमाही राजभाषा हिंदी बैठक एवं हिंदी कार्यशाला का आयोजन उत्साहपूर्वक किया गया।
कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि एवं राजभाषा अधिकारी श्री महेंद्र जी परिहार, नराकास, डी आर एम कार्यालय, जोधपुर ने अपनी गरिमामयी उपस्थिति प्रदान की। उन्होंने संस्थान के समस्त अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारीगण को राजभाषा हिंदी के महत्व, कार्यालयीन कार्यों में हिंदी के प्रभावी प्रयोग तथा राजभाषा संबंधी प्रावधानों के बारे में उपयोगी जानकारी प्रदान की और हिंदी के अधिकाधिक प्रयोग के लिए प्रेरित किया।

The Indian Institute of Handloom Technology (IIHT), Jodhpur hosted an inspiring Alumni Lecture Series featuring Sh. Rajesh Bhardwaj, an alumnus of IIHT Jodhpur and renowned Home Textile Expert.
Addressing 100+ students, Sh. Rajesh Bhardwaj shared valuable insights into career opportunities in handloom and textiles, industry expectations, professional growth, and the evolving landscape of the home textile sector. His practical experience and guidance motivated students to explore new possibilities and build successful careers in the textile industry.
The session was further enriched by the interaction with Sh. Mohit Kumar Malik, another alumnus of IIHT Jodhpur, who discussed latest developments and emerging trends in the textile sector and interacted with the students.
Such alumni interactions bridge the gap between academic learning and industry experience, inspiring the next generation of textile professionals.

आज विजयवाड़ा, आंध्र प्रदेश से पधारे पत्रकार दल ने भारतीय हथकरघा प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (IIHT), जोधपुर का दौरा किया।

इस अवसर पर पत्रकार दल ने संस्थान की हथकरघा प्रौद्योगिकी, प्रशिक्षण गतिविधियों, आधुनिक तकनीकों तथा बुनकरों के कौशल विकास से जुड़ी विभिन्न गतिविधियों की जानकारी प्राप्त की। संस्थान की ओर से हथकरघा क्षेत्र के विकास, नवाचार एवं पारंपरिक बुनाई तकनीकों के संरक्षण के लिए किए जा रहे प्रयासों से भी उन्हें अवगत कराया गया।

यह संवाद राजस्थान एवं आंध्र प्रदेश के हथकरघा क्षेत्र के बीच ज्ञान, तकनीक और अनुभवों के आदान-प्रदान की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल रहा।

IIHT Jodhpur celebrated the 12th National Handloom Day with great enthusiasm, reaffirming its commitment to preserving and promoting India's rich handloom heritage. The celebration was graced by Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Bhardwaj, Director, ICMR Jodhpur; Guest of Honour, Mr. Sandeep Singh, ACP, Central Jodhpur Police; and Special Invitees, Dr. Ramesh Sangwan, Scientist, ICMR; Mr. Rajesh Kalla, Textile Professional; National Award-winning Weavers Mr. Madhuram Ji and Mr. Raviveer Chaudhary AD. Handicraft Service Centre Jodhpur.

The dignitaries appreciated the creativity and craftsmanship displayed by the students and weavers, inspiring them to pursue innovation, entrepreneurship, and research in the handloom sector.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Sivagnanam K J, Director, IIHT Jodhpur, who highlighted the importance of handlooms as a symbol of India's cultural heritage, and encouraged students to blend traditional craftsmanship with modern technology.

The celebrations included a Handloom Exhibition, Technical Demonstrations, Symposium, and Poster, Essay, Quiz, and Speech Competitions. National Award-winning Weaver Mr. Madhuram Ji was specially honoured for his outstanding contribution to the handloom sector.

The grand success of the celebration was made possible through the meticulous planning and coordination of Mr. Vikram Singh, Senior Lecturer (Textiles), and Mr. Maneesh Mathur, Senior Lecturer (TP), whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth conduct of celebrations. The programme witnessed active participation of faculty members, staff, and students of IIHT Jodhpur, making the celebration a memorable and meaningful occasion.

On the occasion of the 12th National Handloom Day 2026, the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology (IIHT), Jodhpur today proudly inaugurated the 9th Special Samarth Batch of Skill Up-gradation Training on "Handloom Weaver (Frame Loom)" (TCHLM01) under SAMARTH (Scheme for Capacity Building in the Textile Sector) at Satika Khurd village, Nagaur, Rajasthan.
The training programme, benefiting 25 handloom weavers, commenced on 06 August 2026 and will continue until 09 September 2026, aiming to strengthen the skills, craftsmanship, and livelihood opportunities of traditional handloom artisans.
Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the participants as they take forward the timeless legacy of Indian handlooms with dedication, innovation, and pride.

Taking Handloom Heritage to Young Minds! As part of the 12th National Handloom Day Celebrations 2026, the outreach team of IIHT Jodhpur conducted engaging DIY Handloom Weaving and Block Printing workshops at Adarsh Academy School, Chokha and SK International School, Chopasani.

Students enthusiastically explored the fascinating world of Indian handlooms through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities, gaining an appreciation for our rich textile heritage, craftsmanship, and sustainable traditions. Together, we are inspiring the next generation to learn, appreciate, and celebrate India's timeless handloom legacy.
