We're excited to announce that a team of students from M.B.M. Engineering College, Jodhpur has secured a Bronze in the prestigious e-Yantra Innovation Challenge (eYIC) 2020-21 organized jointly by IIT Bombay and Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The program started in September, 2020, was designed to foster innovation and provide a platform for students to build startups around the Sustainable Development Goals identified by the United Nations.
"Be You There", a team of students Yuvraj Choudhary (EC), Siddharth Golecha (IT), Harshvardhan Pandey (Mechanical), Pooja Bhati (ECE) and Harsh Gupta (CSE) mentored by Sh. Abhisek Gour, Assistant Professor (CSE) developed an Indoor Navigation and Positioning System that is specially designed to help manage crowd congestion in healthcare facilities during emergency situations like pandemic, natural calamities etc.
The prototype of the system, designed and deployed within the department, works like GPS-based map applications and facilitates in locating and guiding users to reach their destination inside large-buildings with the help of a BLE (Bluetooth) based Beacon-Network.
We wholeheartedly congratulate the team for their fabulous achievement and encourage them to nurture their ambitious project into a startup.
