North-east Adventist College

North-east Adventist College Northeast Adventist college was established by Pr. O.W Lange in 1941 at the present location. It was then called the Assam Training School.

It was inaugurated in 1942 by Sir Robert Reid, the Governor of Assam. When Meghalaya attained statehood in 1972, the name was changed to Adventist Training School (ATS). It served the people of East India and Northeast for many years as a Secondary School until it got upgraded to a Higher Secondary School in 1997, recognized by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE). ion, which began as a small school yet with a dream, realized its dream by getting affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU). It was then that the College got its present name, Northeast Adventist College (NAC). Northeast Adventist College prepares the students not only for MBOSE and NEHU exams, but also prepares them for other external exams, like the Division School Leaving Certificate (DSLC) in Class X and the Division College Eligibility Certificate (DCEC) in Class XII. These exams are conducted by the Education Department of the Seventh-Day Adventist, Southern Asia Division, Hosur, Tamil Nadu, India. The college is located on a beautiful Pine-wooded 89.94 acres of rolling hills seven kilometers from Jowai town. The NH – 44 passes just in front of the College gate making it easy to approach the college from other parts of the country. Today, the college offers quality education in the Arts stream in the College Section and Arts and Science Streams in the Higher Secondary section. God has blessed the College in the past and it has moved forward at great pace and shall continue to step into the future with God as the Guide.
