The geology students of Yogi Vemana University's 2023-2025 batch successfully completed their fieldwork on August 5th, 2025, making significant observations that shed light on the region's geological history. During this field work, they observed outliers of Nandyal Shale surrounded by Bairenkonda Quartzites, notable mural joints on the quartzite formations, dolomite deposits at Gundlamula, and the Nagasani p***e thrust fault, where Bairenkonda Quartzites were observed to have been thrust over Koilakuntla Limestones. These findings offer valuable insights into the region's tectonic past, underscoring the importance of fieldwork in geological studies
