Our Fashion 2nd Year students beautifully showcased their creativity and design skills at *Fashion Furious Season 7*.

With the elegant theme *Queen on the Beach* 👑🏖️, they presented a stunning collection of beachwear that blended confidence, style, and contemporary fashion trends. Each design reflected innovation, attention to detail, and the spirit of modern beach queens 🌊👗

This experience gave our students a great platform to explore real-time fashion presentation, teamwork, and industry exposure.

A special collaboration with 💫 made this journey even more inspiring and memorable.

🎬 4-Day International Filmmaking Workshop Successfully Concluded

The School of Design, Media and Creative Arts, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi Campus successfully conducted a four-day international workshop titled “Constructing Cinema: A Hands-on Exploration of Visual Storytelling and Filmmaking” from 10–13 March 2026. The workshop was led by renowned Romanian filmmaker Robert Eugen Popa.

During the workshop, students gained practical experience in visual storytelling, script development, directing, and filmmaking techniques. The sessions were highly interactive, allowing students to collaborate and create short films under expert guidance.

The workshop concluded with a screening of the students’ short films, showcasing their creativity and learning outcomes. The initiative provided valuable global exposure and hands-on filmmaking experience for all participants. 🎥✨

🎬 CONSTRUCTING CINEMA
A Hands-on International Workshop Exploring the Art of Visual Storytelling and Filmmaking.

The 4-day filmmaking workshop at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi was conducted by Romanian director and scriptwriter Robert Eugen Popa. Day 1 of the session began with an inauguration where Dr. J. Letha Janaki , Pro Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Radhakrishnan Unni, Deputy Dean Administration, welcomed the guest and expressed their gratitude.

Mr. Popa introduced himself, screened clips from his films, and explained shots, camera angles, and visual storytelling techniques, followed by a brief Q&A session. The session concluded with a practical activity where students worked in groups to break scenes into 3-shot, 2-shot, and 1-shot formats, demonstrating blocking, staging, and camera positioning. The session made for an engaging and interactive start to the workshop.

Aswathi M, MA Animation student from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi Campus – School of Design, Media and Creative Arts, won the Best Gaming Category Cosplay for her stunning portrayal of Malevola, impressing the audience and judges alike with her craftsmanship and character embodiment.

We also applaud Varsha Prasanthan for her incredible cosplay as Elise from League of Legends, bringing the character to life with outstanding detail, precision, and stage presence.

Moments like these reflect the creative excellence and dedication nurtured at JAIN, where imagination transforms into impactful artistry. 💫
