CUTA STRONGLY CONDEMNS THE SUSPENSION OF FIVE CUSAT EMPLOYEES
The Cochin University Teachers Association (CUTA) strongly condemns the decision of the University Syndicate and the Vice Chancellor to suspend five university employees with immediate effect in connection with the vigilance enquiry into the recruitment of Class IV employees.
The matter is pending before the Honโble Court, and all actions by the University authorities must strictly adhere to the applicable court orders and legal proceedings. The University must uphold the principles of natural justice, fairness, transparency and due process.
Taking coercive action while the matter is pending before the Court raises serious concerns regarding procedural fairness and the rights of the employees concerned. CUTA therefore demands that the University authorities review and revoke the suspension orders, subject to the applicable court directions and legal requirements, and ensure a fair and impartial enquiry.
CUTA stands firmly for the dignity and rights of employees, institutional integrity, and the rule of law. University administration must act responsibly and transparently, respecting judicial processes and established procedures.
We stand for natural justice, fairness and accountability.
United We Teach, Together We Achieve.
