দেশ জুড়ে শুরু হয়েছে উত্তম উৎসব। পিছিয়ে নেই কল্যাণী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। উত্তম জন্মশতবর্ষে 'সবার উপরে উত্তম' শিরোনামে দুই খণ্ডে বই প্রকাশ করে তাক লাগিয়ে দিয়েছে কল্যাণী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জার্নালিজম সার্টিফিকেট কোর্স। উল্লেখ্য, এই প্রথম দেশের কোনো বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় উত্তমকুমারকে নিয়ে গবেষণামূলক পূর্ণাঙ্গ গ্রন্থ রচনা করল। এখানে রয়েছে দ্বিতীয় খণ্ডের লেখক সূচি।

🚀 কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা ও গবেষণার নতুন দিগন্ত: কল্যাণী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আয়োজিত হলো জাতীয় আলোচনা চক্র! 🎓
আজ, ৩রা সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৬, কল্যাণী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কম্পিউটার সায়েন্স অ্যান্ড ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং (CSE) বিভাগ, IQAC এবং IEEE CIS কলকাতা চ্যাপ্টারের যৌথ উদ্যোগে সাফল্যের সাথে আয়োজিত হলো "Computational Intelligence and Research Ecosystem" শীর্ষক এক মনোজ্ঞ একদিবসীয় জাতীয় সেমিনার।
অনুষ্ঠানের প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষক তথা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক কল্লোল পাল তাঁর উদ্বোধনী ভাষণে প্রযুক্তিগত বিবর্তনের এক যুগান্তকারী চিত্র তুলে ধরেন। তিনি জোর দিয়ে বলেন যে— কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা (AI), মেশিন লার্নিং বা ডেটা সায়েন্স আজ আর কেবল কম্পিউটার বিজ্ঞানের গণ্ডিতে আবদ্ধ নেই; কলাবিভাগ থেকে শুরু করে সমাজবিজ্ঞান— সমস্ত শাখার গবেষণাতেই এর প্রভাব আজ সুদূরপ্রসারী।
ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উদ্দেশ্যে তাঁর অত্যন্ত জোরালো ও অনুপ্রেরণামূলক বার্তা ছিল— "ছাত্রাবস্থায় ভুল করার স্বাধীনতা তোমাদের আছে, তাই কোনো রকম দ্বিধা না রেখে বিশেষজ্ঞদের নির্ভয়ে প্রশ্ন করতে শেখো!"
ভবিষ্যতে শিক্ষক ও পড়ুয়াদের দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধির জন্য তিনি জেনারেটিভ এআই এবং মেশিন লার্নিংয়ের ওপর ৭-১০ দিনের বিস্তারিত কর্মশালা আয়োজনেরও দিশা দেখান।
এছাড়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন IQAC এর ডিরেক্টর অধ্যাপক অনির্বাণ মুখোপাধ্যায় এবং প্রযুক্তি ও কারিগরি অনুষদের অধ্যক্ষ অধ্যাপক পার্থ প্রতীম সরকার।
গবেষণা এবং শিল্পের মধ্যে সেতুবন্ধন গড়তে আজকের সেমিনারে উপস্থিত ছিলেন স্বনামধন্য বিশেষজ্ঞরা। উপস্থিত ছিলেন অধ্যাপক ভবতোষ চন্দ (প্রাক্তন অধ্যাপক, ISI কলকাতা) – তিনি গবেষণার পদ্ধতি ও নথিকরণ নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করেন। ড. বদ্রী নারায়ণ পাত্র (Senior Reseach Scientist Lead, Microsoft) – তিনি 'Vision Transformer'-এর পরবর্তী প্রজন্মের এআই মডেল নিয়ে আলোকপাত করেন। উপস্থিত ছিলেন ড. অরিজিৎ উকিল (Principal Scientist, TCS Research)। তিনি কম্পিউটেশনের বদলে ইন্টেলিজেন্স বা বুদ্ধিমত্তার প্রসারের দিকটি তুলে ধরেন।
প্রযুক্তিগত দ্রুত পরিবর্তনের এই যুগে ছাত্রছাত্রী এবং গবেষকদের ভবিষ্যতের জন্য প্রস্তুত করতে কল্যাণী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সর্বদা বদ্ধপরিকর। আজকের এই সেমিনার সেই লক্ষ্যেই এক অত্যন্ত সফল পদক্ষেপ! 🌟

🎓 কল্যাণী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো 'MOOC Awareness Programme': ডিজিটাল শিক্ষায় নতুন দিশা 🎓
​আজ, ২রা সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৬, কল্যাণী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রশাসনিক ভবনের বিদ্যাসাগর সভাগৃহে অত্যন্ত সফলভাবে আয়োজিত হলো একটি তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ ও সময়োপযোগী সচেতনতামূলক কর্মশালা— 'MOOC Awareness Programme'। সকাল ১১:০০টা থেকে দুপুর ১:০০টা পর্যন্ত চলা এই বিশেষ অনুষ্ঠানটির যৌথ উদ্যোগে ছিল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) এবং EMRC, St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata।
​অনুষ্ঠানটির শুভ উদ্বোধন করেন কল্যাণী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক কল্লোল পাল। তাঁর অনুপ্রেরণামূলক উদ্বোধনী ভাষণে তিনি আধুনিক শিক্ষাব্যবস্থায় ডিজিটাল রূপান্তরের ওপর জোর দিয়ে বলেন, "MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) হলো আগামীর ভবিষ্যৎ।" জাতীয় শিক্ষানীতি ২০২০ (NEP 2020)-এর প্রেক্ষাপটে মুক্ত ডিজিটাল শিক্ষা ও ক্রেডিট ট্রান্সফারের ক্ষেত্রে MOOCs-এর অপরিসীম গুরুত্ব তিনি বিশদে তুলে ধরেন।
​অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন কল্যাণী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের IQAC-এর মাননীয় চেয়ারম্যান অধ্যাপক অনির্বাণ মুখোপাধ্যায়। এছাড়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন বিভাগের সম্মানিত অধ্যাপক-অধ্যাপিকা, গবেষক, শিক্ষাকর্মী ও শিক্ষার্থীবৃন্দের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণ এই সভাকে সাফল্যমণ্ডিত করে তোলে।

রিসোর্স পার্সনদের হিসেবে আলোচনাচক্রে
EMRC, St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata-র পক্ষ থেকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন - ড. দেবাশিস আইয়ার (MOOC Outreach Program Coordinator), শ্রী শ্যাম সুন্দর পাল (Production Assistant) এবং শ্রী অরিন্দম কোনার (Graphic Artist)।
বিশেষজ্ঞরা তাঁদের প্রাঞ্জল বক্তব্যে আধুনিক উচ্চশিক্ষায় বিশ্বব্যাপী উন্মুক্ত অনলাইন পাঠ্যক্রমের EMRC, St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata ভূমিকা ও বিস্তৃতি সম্পর্কে প্রথমে আলোচনা করেন।
তারপর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক-অধ্যাপিকারা কীভাবে নিজেদের বিষয়ভিত্তিক নতুন MOOCs কোর্সের প্রস্তাবনা তৈরি করবেন এবং আবেদনের মাধ্যমে কোর্স পরিচালনা করতে পারবেন।
এছাড়া ছাত্রছাত্রীরা কীভাবে সহজ উপায়ে এই কোর্সগুলিতে নিজেদের নথিভুক্ত (enroll/avail) করে স্বনামধন্য শিক্ষকদের দ্বারা জ্ঞান অর্জন ও একাডেমিক ক্রেডিট অর্জন করতে পারবে সে কথাও আলোচনা করেন।
উচ্চমানের কনটেন্ট তৈরি, অডিও-ভিজ্যুয়াল প্রোডাকশন এবং গ্রাফিক্স ডিজাইনিং-এর ক্ষেত্রে EMRC, St. Xavier's College কীভাবে প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক ও প্রযুক্তিগতভাবে শিক্ষক ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কে সার্বিক সহযোগিতা প্রদান করে।

"Empowering Learning ✦ Expanding Horizons"— এই মূলমন্ত্রকে সামনে রেখে ডিজিটাল শিক্ষাদানের ক্ষেত্রে এক নতুন মাইলফলক স্থাপন করল আজকের এই উদ্যোগ।

The Centre for Women Studies, University of Kalyani, organised a Community Sensitization & Awareness Programme for Livelihood Generation at Panchpota Village, Nadia, on 31 August 2026.
The programme focused on assessing the socio-economic conditions, existing skills and livelihood needs of women from economically disadvantaged communities.
Faculty members conducted interactive sessions on practical skill development and small-scale livelihood opportunities.
Around 30 women actively participated and shared their skills, interests, economic conditions and training needs through questionnaires and interactions.
The initiative will guide future capacity-building and livelihood programmes aimed at promoting women’s economic independence, self-reliance and empowerment.

Founded in 1788, the Linnean Society of London is the world’s oldest active biological society. This prestigious fellowship recognizes Prof. Biswas’s significant contributions to environmental science, ecotoxicology, environmental microbiology, ecological engineering, and sustainability.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Visits the National Library of India

On 28 August 2026, Professor Kallol Paul, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Kalyani University, visited the National Library of India, Kolkata, along with the Museum of Words.

The visit offered an enriching experience of India’s remarkable linguistic and cultural diversity, with its unique presentation of the country’s many languages, scripts, and the stories and traditions they carry.

Such engagements provide a meaningful opportunity to appreciate and celebrate India’s rich intellectual, linguistic, and cultural heritage.
