Today the 1st September 2026 we have started our 24th academic session ( 2026-27 session) of Allied and Healthcare Courses of Kalyani University. Like previous years this year also Freshers Welcome and farewell of outgoing students organised today. Prof. Dr. Alok Kr. Banerjee, Former Vice Chancellor, Kalyani University; Dr. Subhas Chakraborty and Dr. Sukanta Majumder joint Controller of Examinations, Kalyani University; Dr. Subhasish Sahu, H.O.D., Physiology Department, Kalyani University; Smt. Gayatri Basu, Senior Faculty, B.R.A.I.P.R.D. West Bengal inaugurated the 2026-27 academic session. Smt. Today the 16th August 2026 a Free Health check-up and Investigation camp was organised at Shankari Bhaban, Bhatpara in collaboration with Rastriya Sevak Sangha. About 112 nos. patients treated here with free medicines and different medical investigations like blood sugar, blood group, ECG etc. In-charge of the camp was Dr K.P. Biswas. Today the 14 August 2026, our college observed a Day of Remembrance to commemorate the Partition of Bengal and to remember its tragic consequences. The programme aimed to recall the suffering, displacement, and hardships faced by countless people during that difficult period and to create awareness among the younger generation about this important chapter of history.

The chief speaker of the programme was Sri Subir Adhikari, Dakshin Banga Pranta Samparka Pramukh, R.S.S. Other distinguished speakers included Smt. Sukla Adhikary, Secretary, Dr. K. R. Adhikary Trust; Dr. Subrata Saha; Dr. Saikat De; Optom. Poulomi Sanyal; and Dr. Mrinal Sikder of Kalyani AIIMS.

The speakers highlighted the historical significance of the Partition and its far-reaching and tragic impact on society and individuals. They also emphasized the importance of remembering the past so that future generations can learn from history and work towards peace, harmony, and unity.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem, bringing the solemn and meaningful session to an end.
