A paper authored by Anubrata Das in collaboration with E Batzelis (Imperial College, London) entitled “An Adaptive P-Q Management Technique For Grid Voltage Regulation Using PV Inverter” has been awarded Dr. M. Ramamoorty best paper award in Power Electronics & Drives at 21st National Power Systems Conference (NPSC 2020) organized by the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, India during December 17 – 19, 2020. This is a collaborative work between PERI Lab and DiSCo Lab at IIT Kanpur and Imperial College London.

Congratulations Anubrata Das for acceptance of the paper titled "Availability based load harmonic compensation by PV inverter" to 2020 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, Dec. 2020. This work focuses on implementation of TDD and individual HD regulation loops. Additionally, a desaturation loop is implemented to ensure the PI controller in the inner current loop does not saturate. Furthermore, the proposed technique ensures minimum injection of harmonic current compared to other harmonic compensation techniques, thereby reduces the total current stress on the inverter. This is a collaborative work between PERI Lab and DiSCo Lab.

Congratulations Anubrata Das for acceptance of the paper titled "An adaptive P-Q management technique for grid voltage regulation using PV inverter" to National Power Systems Conference 2020 organized by IIT Gandhinagar. This work focuses on enhancement of voltage regulation capacity of PV inverter by incorporating P curtailment. A search algorithm is developed to determine the optimum value of injected Q and hence the amount of P curtailment to achieve the Vref value whenever it is possible or theoretical maximum voltage Vmax when Vref is not achievable. This a collaborative work between PERI Lab and Disco Lab from IIT Kanpur and Imperial College London.

Congratulations Nachiketa Deshmukh and Siva Prabhakar for acceptance of the paper titled “Conductance Emulation Based Control for Series Stacked Energy Buffer” to 2020 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, Dec. 2020. The work is about a conductance emulation based control of 100 Hz ripple energy storage in single phase circuit. The control improve noise immunity and supports easy/intuitive implementation. This is a collaborative work of PERI Lab and DiSCo Lab

Congratulations Bhavana Singh for successfully defending your thesis titled "Min-consensus in Multi-agent systems". This thesis proposes a min-consensus algorithm for heterogeneous higher-order integrators to reach the minimum of the initial positions of the agents. Next, it proposes an algorithm to get the global minimum for multiple bounded trajectories using consensus and shows its application in a circumnavigation problem. This work was carried out under the supervision of Soumya Ranjan Sahoo. One of the works has been published in IEEE Control System Letters and can be found at https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/8995648. Wish you a bright future.

Congratulations Rajneesh Yadav for successfully defending his Masters thesis titled "Droop Characteristics Based Secondary Controller for Islanded DC Microgrid with Improved Voltage Regulation, Load Sharing, and Line Loss". This work proposes an online optimization technique to find the optimal droop gain and voltage shift in the droop characteristic of dc converters so as to have low voltage regulation, proportional current sharing and reduced line losses in a dc microgrid. This work was carried out under the supervision of Soumya Ranjan Sahoo and Prof Saikat Chakrabarti. One of the results from this paper is at https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/document/8905610. Another work from this thesis has been accepted for presentation at IEEE PES General Meeting 2020. Wish you a bright future.

Congratulations Arijit Sen for acceptance of paper titled "Containment using Incomplete Agent Information over a Digraph" to IEEE Control System Letters. This work proposes a velocity-free protocol for followers to come into the convex hull of multiple leaders. The bound on leaders' velocity and acceleration are only known for this purpose.
