From Research to Silicon: A Milestone for IIITDM Kancheepuram!

In this video, Asha, a research scholar at IIITDM Kancheepuram, shares her experience of successfully taping out a chip through the MPW Shuttle 4, based on her research in Spiking Neural Networks for Sleep Stage Classification. The chip was developed as part of a collaborative effort with fellow research scholar Vasanthi.

This journey provided invaluable hands-on exposure to the complete chip design and tape-out process—bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world semiconductor development.
At IIITDM Kancheepuram, we remain committed to nurturing researchers and engineers who turn ideas into innovation.
