The college, located in the district of Karur in Tamil Nadu was started in the year 2007. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and is affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. For over a decade, the college has been committed to delivering quality technical education to the student community. Considered to be one of the top engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu, it has excellent infrastructure which provides growth opportunities for students to excel in their respective disciplines in the fields of engineering, technology and management. The college works towards moulding students into all-rounders with good interpersonal skills and effective soft skills to make them confident to embrace challenges of the future.

Chettinad College of Engineering & Technology continues to strengthen career guidance and alumni engagement through meaningful interactions with alumni.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, through ELECTRA, organized an insightful Chit-Chat with Alumni session for II, III and IV year EEE students on “Gateway to a Successful Career in the Government Sector.”

Ms. T. Priyadharshini, alumna of the B13 Batch and Trainer at Suresh IAS Academy, Chennai, shared valuable guidance on government and banking careers, competitive examinations, preparation strategies, time management and career planning.

The session motivated students to learn, plan and prepare with confidence towards their career aspirations.

🚀 Smart India Hackathon 2026 – Internal Hackathon Successfully Conducted! 🇮🇳
Chettinad College of Engineering & Technology successfully conducted the Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon 2026 (SIH26) on 11th & 12th September 2026 at the Block C Seminar Hall.

With 300+ enthusiastic students from 6 departments forming 52 vibrant teams, the event served as an excellent platform for students to showcase their creativity, innovation, problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and teamwork. Guided by dedicated mentors and evaluated by an esteemed panel of jury members, the participating teams presented innovative solutions addressing diverse real-world problem statements, truly reflecting the spirit of .

Following a comprehensive evaluation of the Software and Hardware categories, the Top 45 teams were shortlisted and recommended by the jury panel for the next stage of Smart India Hackathon 2026.

🌟 Welcome to ChettinadTech, Our New EEE Stars! ⚡
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chettinad College of Engineering & Technology, organised a vibrant Fresher’s Day Celebration for the First Year EEE students on 9 September 2026 at the G Block Seminar Hall.

The programme featured a warm welcome address, an introduction to the department’s Vision, Mission and Achievements, faculty introductions and an energetic welcome dance.

Students actively participated in fun activities such as Colour Hunt, Pick Up the Balloon and Straw with Paper, promoting teamwork, coordination and interaction. Mementos were also presented to all First Year EEE students, followed by a feedback session.

The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks, marking a joyful beginning to the students’ journey at ChettinadTech.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology, successfully organised a One-Day Guest Lecture on “Advancements in Energy Storage for Industrial Process Heating Applications.”

The session by Dr. S. Vijayan, Professor, Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology, covered solar energy, sensible and latent heat storage, heat pipes and their industrial applications.

Students gained valuable technical insights into thermal energy storage, renewable energy technologies and sustainable industrial heating solutions through an engaging interaction with the resource person.
