Ever heard of a 400-kilometer road trip where the GPS is strictly divine? 🗺️✨
In Taiwan, we call it the Baishatun Mazu .
For about 200 years, hundreds of thousands of believers have followed the Goddess of the Sea to Beigang on foot. The catch? There is no set map. The goddess’s bright pink palanquin—affectionately dubbed the “Pink Supercar”—leads the way, making sudden, unscripted turns into narrow alleys, local shops, or even across rivers!
Kicking off on April 12, this year’s 9-day journey expects a record-breaking 450,000 participants. Here is why you should join the walk:
🚶 Embrace the Unknown: Leave your itinerary at home. Walking without a destination is the ultimate way to unplug from our fast-paced world and find inner peace.
🤝 Pure Connection: Strip away your job title and become a humble pilgrim. You will be amazed by the profound kindness of strangers handing out free food and drinks along the way!
👑 A Divine Encounter: Rumor has it the “Pink Supercar” might cross paths with the famous Dajia Mazu procession this year—a rare, monumental meeting of two major goddesses!
Whether you walk for an hour or nine days, it is a beautiful journey of self-discovery.
