Our Story
Society of Mining and Exploration (SME) was established in the year 2017 under the Department of Mining Engineering, GCE, Keonjhar with a vision of bridging the gap between the industries and institutes. We believe that through collaboration and constructive exchange of information we can up to date ourselves with the latest developments and challenges in the industry. Society of Mining and Exploration (SME) serves as a platform for the students to acquaint themselves with practical knowledge of the field and latest development in the sector. Being the oldest Society and with it’s vast member group and Alumni, it has successfully conducted Two National Conferences ( CPMAI 2017, 18 ) and many Mining Events including Inter-College Competetions.
