Mr. Bikram Nayak representing Republic of India:
Mr. Bikrama Keshari Nayak is a Master Degree holder with Gold Medal in Social Work and working since last 12 years in different social service activities in State and National level in India. He strongly believes on the notion that He may not bring greater change in the society, but can make it better. He has been credited with couple of development initiatives like Odisha Yuva Jagaran Yatra (Inspiring rural youth to develop their regions through entrepreneurship), Rural Youth Development Initiative, National Peace Leaders Camp, Theater for Social Change, Blood Donors Network, Tree for occasion etc. He have represented at many national and International forums and worked voluntarily with several reputed organizations for the issues like Youth Empowerment, Disaster Relief, RTI, Peace building initiatives, Human Rights etc. He have been felicitated by several development forums like Best Social worker award from VISWASS, Young Social Worker Award from SAMMA, Vivekananda Prativa Puraskar from Evergreen Forum, Gopabandhu jyoti Samman from The Samaj, Sadbhabana Award from GDF for the outstanding contribution as a young professional. He received the highest prestigious award of Odisha State as Sate Award for Social Service from Dept. of Sports and Youth Services, Govt. of Odisha. He was conferred with Urban Governance Fellowship from Avantha foundation to lead innovations in Urban Governance process and successfully worked for Policy Recommendations. He has donated 17 times blood to needy patients at different times and had created a blood donors network to arrange donors for emergency and unknown needy patients. He has taken the oath of Body Donation and promoting the concept to support the organ and Body donation drive in the state.
Currently he is working as Advisor(Hon.) to Dept. of Sports and Youth Services, Govt. of Odisha for last three years for implementation of Youth Policy. He is now mentoring the change agents of 8 districts for the campaign of Open defecation free village initiated by UNICEF. He is working voluntarily as JADE Member of Jagriti Yatra Team, a National level Entrepreneurship promotion initiative to motivate young people for entrepreneurship through exposure, workshops etc. He is a Master trainer on Rural and Urban Governance, Peace and Harmony, Youth Leadership and Right to Information, Life skill management, personality development and career counselling certified from Common Wealth Asia Center, UNICEF and Odisha RTI Coalition etc. He is an expert in De-addiction counselling and cancer awareness. He has conducted several training programmes and youth camps at different parts of India. He is working as visiting youth trainer and Motivational speaker for NSS, NYKS and different youth forums for last seven years. He is a professional theatre artist and he have played number of plays and directed number of street plays on various social issues. He is a certified course facilitator of IGNOU for MSW course and working for last three years. He serves as visiting faculty to different social work colleges in Odisha.
He is the co-founder of a socio-cultural forum called SANDHAAN for promoting social change through creatively engaging the youth talent in the means of theatre, dance and song. He has been part of a National level forum named by National Youth Project as State Committee Member and working on Youth leadership and peace building activities in different communal tension areas for last five years. He is the co-founder of NMYS- a Youth led campaign to channelize the young people to bring visible changes through network, collaboration and exemplary leadership on the impending issue of addiction especially in to***co control. He have been actively involved in various social service activities like Blood Donation Camp, Plantation Drive Programme, Aid for Cancer Kids, education for street children, Sanitation and cleanliness etc. He has worked outstandingly for Disaster relief and Rehabilitation works at different disasters in Odisha and other States of India. Rehabilitation measures provided to 15000 families by “Relief with dignity- Cloth for Work” during Phailin in Balasore with GOONJ in a six month long Operation. He has been part of numbers of research studies like Pilot study of TRIPTI, KAP study on Leprosy, Perception study on Women Violence, Socio-economic study of Mining Districts, Impact Assessment of ICDS, and Evaluation study of Right to Food etc. conducted by different organisations at different times.
