“One of my college’s mooting legends, who also happens to be my immediate senior, had told me that the best way to judge if a moot court activity has been fruitful, was to see if by the end of the moot we felt like we had scratched at least the surface of the moot proposition. By the end of the NIMLAC 2018, even though I was a part of the winning team, I had a strong feeling that there were a lot more dynamics to the moot proposition than what we, as participants, had understood, which speaks volumes about the standards of the judging in the competition. The standard of competition from the prelims to the finals was very high too, to add to the judging standards.
The Competition was very well co-ordinated and managed at all times by the organizing committee. Any 11th hour printouts we needed, they were always patiently willing to help. The campus is delightful and so are the people in it. To add to that list the cash prizes are pretty good too. Also, the winning trophy needs a special mention for just how beautiful it is to look at, even though delicate.
Overall, NIMLAC has been a very enriching and memorable experience.”
- Sanjay Narayandas, member of the winning team of NIMLAC 2018.
Thank you Sanjay for your kind words. We hope to make NIMLAC 2019 a much more fruitful experience for its participants!

NUALS prides itself in making all of its events a learning experience for everyone involved. That’s why we are throwing it back to the fifth edition of NIMLAC even though it’s not a Thursday.
Last year NIMLAC hosted Mr. Hari Gopala Krishna, CEO of Nimble Legal, Dubai who delivered a lecture to the students, participants and judges on maritime affreightment and carriage of goods by sea. Another eminent speaker was Ms. Natasha Sailopal who shared with the participants her knowledge on “The modern law of marine insurance”.
As part of our continued commitment towards the study of maritime law and arbitration, we look forward to hosting more such eminent speakers at the sixth edition of NIMLAC this year.
