RSET - Autonomous is an endeavour of the Sacred Heart Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) - the first-ever indigenous religious congregation for men in the Syrian Catholic tradition of Christianity in India. World Environment Day on June 5 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, bringing together staff and students in a collective effort to promote environmental awareness and sustainability. The programme was jointly coordinated by the Rajagiri Employees Cooperative Society, the Nature Club, and the NSS unit of the institution. The celebrations included a plantation drive across the campus, emphasizing the importance of conserving nature and increasing green cover. A flea market was also organized to encourage the principles of reuse, recycling, and responsible consumption, providing participants with an opportunity to exchange and repurpose items. As part of the event, students and staff took a pledge to uphold environmentally responsible practices and contribute towards creating a sustainable future. The programme also served as a platform to raise awareness about environmental challenges and inspire meaningful action at both individual and community levels. The enthusiastic participation of the RSET community reflected the institution’s strong commitment to environmental stewardship and its vision of fostering a greener and more sustainable society.

Rajagiri Employees Co-operative Society Ltd., RSET Nature Club and NSS RSET are jointly celebrating *World Environment Day* on *5th June 2026* to promote environmental awareness and to encourage sustainable practices. The program includes an *Oath-Taking Ceremony, Flea Market by RSET Staff and Tree Planting Drive*, each aimed at fostering environmental responsibility and community participation.
