Congratulations to Prof. Shaphali Gupta (शेफाली गुप्ता) (Marketing Management) for her first-authored Research Publication titled "Understanding disruption through the marketing lens: foundations, frameworks and future directions" getting published in the "European Journal of Marketing" an ABDC A* category Journal.

Disruption, long treated in marketing scholarship as an episodic departure from equilibrium, has become a permanent feature of the competitive landscape. This study aims to lay the conceptual foundations for a marketing theory of persistent disruption, arguing that firms no longer experience disruption as isolated events with a clear before, during and after, but instead operate continuously within overlapping, interacting disruptive forces – technological, geopolitical, ecological and institutional.

We are delighted to share that Research Publication titled "Unraveling the phenomenon of losing humanness at workplace: A review and synthesis of dehumanization research in work context" co-authored by our faculty member Prof. MANORANJAN DHAL is now published in the Journal "Acta Psychologica" categorised as 'A' in ABDC list.

We are also proud to share that the first author of this study Dr. Shilpa Chingan Thottathil, is a Doctoral alumnus from IIM Kozhikode's Doctoral Programme in Management.

Dehumanization in workplace contexts has recently gained attention due to contemporary factors such as the rapid increase in information, communication, and technology, as well as the emergence of artificial intelligence and robotics. However, the literature on dehumanization, characterized by perceiving others as less human or experiencing subhuman treatment, faces significant challenges in its development due to factors such as its fragmented development, lack of integration across diverse forms of dehumanization, and lack of differentiation based on the parties involved.

This comprehensive systematic literature review bridges these gaps, thereby revealing the nuances and intricacies of this vast, fragmented body of work. This systematic literature review presents an integrative conceptual map, using categorization principles to simplify the complexity of the dehumanization phenomenon and provide a comprehensive, abstract conceptual lens that encapsulates all its forms.

We are delighted to share that Prof. Shaphali Gupta's (शेफाली गुप्ता) co-authored publication titled "Trust deficits in sunset industries: Legitimacy Deficits as antecedents to cross-sector partnerships" has now been published in the Journal "Industrial Marketing Management" ranked A* in the ABDC list.

The oil and gas (O&G) sector, a key sunset industry, faces rising decarbonisation pressures from regulation, markets, and scrutiny. However, unilateral corporate attempts to address these pressures often struggle to secure social acceptance, creating legitimacy deficits that threaten the industry's social license to operate. Grounded in Legitimacy, Institutional, and Stakeholder theories, this study examines the micro-foundations of these deficits using a qualitative big-data approach, drawing on data from Reddit and YouTube between 2020 and 2024.

Congratulations to our faculty member Prof. MANORANJAN DHAL for his co-authored publication titled "Internal marketing: a systematic literature review and research agendas" getting published in "Marketing Intelligence & Planning" an ABDC 'A' category journal.

This research study highlights the significance of internal marketing (IM) for enhancing organizational performance. Although it spans both the domains of marketing and human resource (HR), IM remains under-researched. There is a need for a structured, systematic literature review (SLR) to synthesize IM literature.

By emphasizing Internal Marketing practices such as communication, supportive leadership, training and rewards, the authors argue that organizations can foster employee well-being and happiness, reducing stress and burnout.
