Pharmacovigilance Awareness Programme

A Pharmacovigilance Awareness Programme was conducted on 23 September 2026 at 2:00 PM for the students of Don Bosco School of Nursing as part of the 6th National Pharmacovigilance Week 2026, themed “Promoting Rational Use of Medicines through Pharmacovigilance – A Step Towards Safer Healthcare.”

The session was delivered by Dr. Rose Ninnya, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology & Pharmacovigilance Deputy Coordinator, SNIMS, focusing on Pharmacovigilance, identification and reporting of adverse drug reactions (ADRs), and rational use of medicines.

The programme was attended by Dr. Anfa Bose, Dr. Anjitha Vijayakumar, PG Residents, and Mr. Athul Krishna, Clinical Pharmacist, along with the students.

DEPARTMENT OF PAEDIATRICS, SNIMS – 4TH HALF BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2026
As part of IYCF (Infant and Young Child Feeding) activities and community extension program, Department of Pediatrics, SNIMS conducted its 4th Half Birthday Celebration for infants to promote timely initiation of complementary feeding on 22/09/2026. 12 babies along with parents and caregivers participated in the event .
Dr. Darly Saramma Mammen,Professor & HOD, Dept of Paediatrics addressed parents and emphasized the importance of celebrating 6 months as a milestone, timely initiation of complementary feeding after exclusive breastfeeding, and continued breastfeeding till 2 years.
Dr. Gowri S, Assistant Professor, Paediatrics delivered an interactive talk on Complementary Feeding. All babies were gifted a feeding set.
The event was followed by a comprehensive Growth & Development checkup for all babies by Dr Yaami Mathew and Dr Anupama Nair , Assistant Professors , Paediatrics where babies underwent detailed health check-up, anthropometry (weight, length, head circumference), growth chart plotting and developmental screening. Mothers were counselled individually based on growth status.
