This year the Institute has ranked in the rank band of 201-250 in the Engineering category. It has NBA accredited degree programmes in Engineering. The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Narula Institute of Technology, organized an industrial visit to A B Polypacks Pvt. Ltd., Domjur, Howrah, on September 23, 2026 for 3rd Year and September 24, 2026 for 2nd DME students respectively.
The visit provided practical exposure to Rotogravure printing, lamination, polymer film manufacturing, pouching, quality control and industrial safety. The programme successfully bridged classroom learning with real-world industrial practices and strengthened industry-academia interaction.

Narula Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT), Regional Council 15, West Bengal, organised an engaging workshop on “Physics for Future Engineers: From Fundamental to Technology” on 24 September 2026.

The sessions by Prof. Ananda Dasgupta, Dr. Swati Das and Dr. Bhupati Chakraborti were highly interactive and engaging, encouraging students to explore the relevance of fundamental physics in engineering and technology. Prof. Syed Minhaz Hossain added an exciting hands-on dimension with demonstrations showcasing the principles of physics at work in everyday phenomena.

The workshop successfully bridged fundamental concepts with real-world applications, inspiring future engineers to look at physics not merely as a subject, but as a powerful foundation for innovation and technological advancement.

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Narula Institute of Technology, successfully organized a Parent–Teacher Meeting on September 23, 2026, fostering meaningful interaction and collaboration among parents, faculty members, and the department.

The session highlighted various dimensions of the students’ academic and professional journey, including R&D initiatives, student chapters and activity clubs, industry visits and placements, internships, higher studies, hackathons and entrepreneurship, NSS activities, and other opportunities for holistic development.

The meeting also provided a valuable platform for constructive discussions between teachers and guardians regarding students’ academic progress, participation, career aspirations, and future prospects.

An Alumni Freshers Interaction at ECE

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Narula Institute of Technology, organized a session on “Engineering Journey 360°: An Alumni–Freshers Interaction” aimed at fostering meaningful dialogue between the department's alumni and its newly enrolled students on 17th September 2026. The highlight of the session was an inspiring address by Mr. Raja Mitra, an esteemed alumnus of the department and currently an Associate Advisor at PwC(PricewaterhouseCoopers). In his speech, he shared his personal and professional journey, tracing his path from being an ECE student at Narula Institute of Technology to establishing himself in the corporate consulting sector.
