ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The application form and prospectus will be available from J.C.C.College D.E.Study centre on payment Rs.300.00 in cash.
An applicant must go through the prospectus carefully before filling-in the application form and must enter correctly all the information.
Eligibility for Admission:
i) For M.Com & M.A in all Arts Subjects on “First come First’ serve basis.
(Hons & Three years General).
ii) M.Sc in Appl. Math - only Math (Hons) First Come first serve basis.
iii) M.A/M.Sc in Geography – Geography (Hons) Direct Admission at 50% or above Marks
Form will be issued to Geography (Hons) Candidates.
iv) M.Sc in Physics – Physics (Hons) Direct Admission at 50% or above marks.
Form will be issued to Physics (Hons) Candidates.
*(Direct Admission will be continued on & form 18.08.14 to 06.09.2014)
If seats are not filled up by direct admission in case of Physics & Geography then Merit list will be published on 08.09.2014 at 4 p.m.
*Form will not be issued after 06.09.2014 for M.Sc in Physics & M.A / M.Sc in Geography.
DATE AND TIME OF ISSUE OF FORMS: First come first serve basis.
Date: 18.08.14 to 26.09.2014 (For Part-I) First come First serve basis.
After publication of part-I result (For Part-II)
Time of issue : 12.30 P.M to 3.00 P.M (Monday to Friday) first come first serve basis.
12.30 P.M to 1.30 P.M (Saturday) (Except Sunday) “ First come First basis.
Before Submission of form, Candidate must check the form:
*Demand draft must be drawn on UCO Bank or SBI.
Deposit challan attached to the demand draft draw in favour of “Directorate of distance education, Vidyasagar University” Payable at “Midnapore”
Along with the duly filled-in application form & following enclosures:
a) Self Attested copies of mark sheets of all previous Examinations
b) Self Attested Copy of Age Certificate
c) Self Attested Copy of Registration Certificate (Graduation)
d) Two Self – addressed envelopes with postal stamp of Rs.5.00 affixed on each for M.A, M.Com & Three for M.Sc courses.
e) Original ‘No Objection’ Certificate from employer, where candidate is an employed person
An applicant must write his / her name, application form number & subject on the back of the demand draft.
• Two years General Course Candiate will not be allowed for Admission.
• Admission Form will be issued against original Mark Sheet of U.G Level.
PERSONAL CONTACT PROGRAMME (P*P):
We are going to hold the classes in M.A, M.Com, and M.Sc Part –I of Distance Education of Vidyasagar University of the following dates (tentative) as mentioned below for your ready reference.
Inaugural programme of Part-I will be held on 4th January 2015 at 11.15.
PERSONAL CONTACT PROGRAMME (P*P): For Theory Papers
Expected-Date:-04.01.15, 11.01.15, 18.01.15, 25.01.15, 01.02.15, 08.02.15,
15.02.13, 22.02.15, 01.03.15, 08.03.15.
Time:-11.15A.M - 5.30P.M.
Routine Schedule may be changed in case of emergency situation.
Each student will be expected to attend 60% of the P.C.P. Exemption may be not sought on medical grounds alone supports by a valid certificate submitted before the end of the programme.
PERSONAL CONTACT PROGRAMME (P*P): For Practical Papers.
Expected-Date:-15.03.15, 22.03.15, 29.03.15, 05.04.15, 12.04.15, 19.04.15, 26.04.15, 03.05.15, 10.05.15, 17.05.15.
Time:-11.15A.M-5.30P.M.
Routine Schedule may be changed in case of emergency situation.
Each Student will be required to attend normally a minimum of 75% of Practical classes.
Candidate who will not attend requisite number of practical classes will not be allowed to sit for the examination.
Excursion /Study Tour/Survey.
The Excursion or Study Tour will be organised by the Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri College.
For a duration of 01 to 03 days in a year.
Expected-Date: - 05.04.15, 12.04.15, 19.04.15, 26.04.15, 03.05.15.
Time:- 7.30A.M - 6.00P.M.
Routine Schedule may be changed in case of emergency situation.
each student will be required to attened the tour programme.
Examinations
1. Two – Year Course: There shall be two examinations: Part -I at the end of 1st year &
Part -II at the end of 2ND year.
They will be ordinarily of same standard & pattern as the case of formal degree.
2. Publication of Results: Results will be published after proper evaluation of the scripts by the examiners appointed for this purpose & will ordinarily b e floated in the website. Examinees will not be communicated individually.
3. Examination Rules:-A candidate shall get four consecutive chances to complete the entire course including appearing at the examination there of within a total period of four years from the year of candidate’s admission to the course.
Medium of Instructions .
1. M.A/M.COM: Modules will be available in Bengali alone for Bengali, History, Political Science & Sanskrit. English alone for Commerce & English.
2. M.Sc. Cource: Modules will be in English only.
REFUND
Fees once remitted by an eligible candidate for admission to a particular course /subject will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Scholarship /loan for SC/ST/OBC/Minority students .
SC/ST students admitted in various Distance learning courses under the directorate of distance education can avail of the SC/St/OBC /Minority scholarship of the state govt.Loan facility also available for SC/ST/OBC/Minority students as per govt.norm.
PERSONAL CONTACT PROGRAMME (P*P):
P*P will be organized to provide the students an opportunity of interaction with leading experts in the subjects who will give counseling and advice rather than class room teaching. The P*P in theoretical papers will be organised for a 10 days. The expected date for the P*P of Part-1 Theory classes will be 1st week of January to last week of March and for Part-11 classes 3rd week of April to end of June. Each student will be expected to attend 60% of the P*P. The P*P in Practical papers will be organized for a 10 days. The expected date for the P*P of Part-1 Practical classes will be 1st week of April to last week of June. Each Student will be required to attend normally a minimum of 75% of Practical classes.
Routine will be published before 1 Month of the P.C.P Programme.
Candidate who will not attend requisite number of classes will not be allowed to sit for the examination.
