"It's not about finding your limits. It's about finding out what lies just beyond them"

The participants of the "Iron Wo(Man) of Joka" lived by this quote and it was extremely inspiring to say the least.

We have often been asked what purpose such an event is meant to serve. Its no secret that the answer lies in the spirit of the event and in the grit and determination of the "Iron (Wo)men of Joka".

We saw a display of such grit by the three solo participants who in-spite of trying circumstances, ran 5.4 kms, cycled 18.9 kms and swam 500 m engulfed with a strong will to push themselves.

Umakant Kolwar , Even a long-standing shoulder injury couldn't stop him from completing the triathlon in record time.

Prashant Priyadarshi came to the pool for his routine evening swim, but looking at the enthusiasm of the event, decided to compete as the swimmer of a team. Never had he ever swum more than 4 laps, but today he pushed himself to complete 12.5 laps This achievement motivated him so much that he decided to compete as a solo contestant and completed the triathlon.

Joseph , started with running in a team, but felt the urge to push himself and ended up participating twice, both as a team and a solo contestant. Even as a beginner in the pool, he never gave up till the very end.

Also a special shout out to our Iron Woman Surabhi Nath who recovered from a head injury recently and showed immense courage and resilience in the water.

To all the participants, we would like to thank you for not letting us doubt the purpose of such events. It was an inspirational day and Armageddon will strive to take this inspiration forward by organizing more exciting events in the future.

As you all know the PGP-IIs are making plans for their upcoming break,the steppers and CEMS students look settled at Joka and the facchas have survived their Term-I in Joka.
We figured it would be a perfect opportunity for us to give you a break and a chance to push your limits physically.

So we present to you Iron (Wo)Man of Joka !!

Event will consist of:
500m-Swimming
18kms- cycling (7 rounds)
5km- running (2 rounds)

Tentative dates would be 22/09/2017 (Saturday - 4:00 - 7:30 pm)

Category 1. Individual completing all 3 tasks (Women/Men)
Category 2. A team of 3 doing it as a relay, 1st person-swim, 2nd person-cycle, 3rd person-run (Women/Men)
Event open to all the students in Joka - PGP, FP, PGPEX, PGDBA and Steppers + CEMS

Prices worth Rs 6000/- up for grabs !! (Subject to change depending upon the number of participants)

Hey everyone,

For many years now, there has been an attempt to increase the number of treks organized to cater to the adventurous spirit in us Jokars!

So starting this year, Armageddon is going to work towards that. These treks will be organized by Armageddon in collaboration with the club president for year 2017-18, Mandar Patil.

Lets start the adventure with Stok Kangri during the term break (25th August - 2nd September)

The cost for the trek, Leh to Leh is INR 18,375 (transport to and from Leh will be not be included and should be arranged by the participant)
