The Women and Gender Development Cell, Loreto College, Kolkata, in collaboration with the Loreto College Alumnae Association, organised a thought-provoking lecture by distinguished alumna Ms. Chaitali Banerjee Roy on 17 July 2026. Speaking on "Reflections from Rathfarnham: Documenting Loreto's Global Connections and Women's Oral Histories," she shared her inspiring pilgrimage to Loreto Rathfarnham, Ireland, and highlighted the importance of preserving women's oral histories with integrity and empathy. Attended by students of the Departments of History, Political Science, English, and Media Studies, the highly interactive session encouraged critical thinking, challenged stereotypes, and concluded with an engaging discussion that left the audience deeply inspired.

Loreto College Alumna, Ms. Chaitali Banerjee Roy, generously donated 2 copies of her publication "Sadaaqa: Partnership & Cultural Kinship - Conversations with Pioneering Indians & Kuwaitis" to the Alumnae Publications section of the Loreto College Library. We thank Ms. Roy for sharing the wealth of knowledge with the students of the College.
