Institute of Business Management and Research Established in 1976 under the guidance of group of reputed academicians, IBMR is now a premier Management learning Centre offering BBA(H),MBA.

Institute of Business Management & Research, Kolkata was established in the year 1976 under the guidance of late Dr. S.N.Sen, the then Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University. The Institute, later on, has been approved by the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), Govt. of India and has been affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology

(WBUT) since 2001 for conducting Two Year full time (Day) and Three year (evening) Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses. IBMR is also conducting under graduate courses in management related areas under WBUT. IBMR has a rigorous training program which enables the successful students to become globally competent manager. Institute of Business Management & Research mainly aims at the improvement of management practices. The method of learning is set through lecture sessions in English with case study approach. The group study method is one of the most effective devices to ensure participation of students in learning process of management problems and making decision. Besides, seminars, group discussions, role playing etc. are organized for effective teaching etc. Factory visits are organized for exposing the participants to the practical situations.

Established in 1976 under the guidance and leadership of group of reputed academicians, IBMR is now a premier Management learning Centre. IBMR is now functioning from two campuses with well equipped modern teaching aids in an academic ambiance. Its teaching and training programmes are guided by excellent team of faculties with exposure to external business world. Our students have been awarded a number of medals by the WBUT for their brilliant academic achievements.

The registered office and Under Graduate campus of the institution is situated at 6/1, Swinhoe Street Kolkata – 700019. It is located at a very advantageous position in South Kolkata and well connected by various modes of transport.

Post Graduate campus of the institute is situated at 318A, Prantik Pally, Kolkata – 700107, which is opposite to the Southern Conclave near Eastern Metropolitan by-pass and is about 2kms from the old campus.
