Eligibility Criteria
Marks obtained in the top four subjects except ENVS shall be considered to ascertain the aggregate marks. The candidates must have passed in English of Full marks 100 in the last qualifying examination.

(Only WBCHSE/ISC/CBSE regular* candidates of 2017/2016 can apply)
*Regular Candidates are those who have appeared for all the subjects of the qualifying examination in respective year.
General Caste applicants
PHYSICS : 60% in aggregate & 60% in Physics & 60% in Mathematics.
CHEMISTRY : 60% in aggregate & 60% in Chemistry & 55% in Physics & 55% in Mathematics.
MATHEMATICS : 60% in aggregate & 65% in Mathematics.
MICROBIOLOGY : 60% in aggregate & 45% in Biology & 45% in English.
ECONOMICS : 50% in aggregate & 45% in Economics/Statistics & 40% in Mathematics (or related subject) OR 55% in Economics/Statistics & 40% in Mathematics (or related subject) OR 50% in aggregate if Economics/Statistics not studied & 40% in Mathematics (or related subject)
BENGALI : 55% in aggregate & 50% in Bengali as First Language OR 55% in Bengali as First Language.
ENGLISH : 60% in aggregate & 55% in English OR 50% in aggregate & 65% in English.
HISTORY : 50% in aggregate & 45% in History OR 55% in History OR 50% aggregate if History not studied. Also 60% in English for students if Bengali/English is NOT is first language.
POLITICAL SCIENCE: 50% in aggregate & 45% in Philosophy OR 55% in Philosophy OR 50% aggregate if Philosophy not studied. Also 50% in English if Bengali/English is NOT is first language

S.C. /S.T. Applicants: 40% in aggregate OR 40% marks in the subject or related subject. Candidates with valid SC/ST certificate will only be considered.
Christian Applicants: 50% in aggregate and 45% in subject or related subject OR 55% in subject or related subject. Candidates are required to submit photocopy of Baptism certificate at college office within 12th June 2017, failing which their applications may not be considered.
GENERAL COURSE
(Candidates passed from C.U. recognized Boards/Councils in 2017/2016/ 2015 can only apply)
B.Sc.(Bio-science):
Must have passed in Biology and in Chemistry or Physics with minimum 45% marks in English if opting for B. Sc. Course with Microbiology
B.Sc. (Pure):
Must have passed in all subjects except Biology and chemistry in case of B. Sc. with statistics combination.
B. A. :
Students who have passed HS or equivalent examination.Also 50% in English if Bengali/English is NOT is first language (Only for General Category candidates).
S.C. /S.T. /Christian candidates are required to submit photocopy of valid SC/ST certificate /Baptism certificate at the time of admission.
