Jnan Chandra Ghosh Polytechnic[Government Of West Bengal] Dr. Jnan Chandra Ghosh was an eminent physicist of India and one of the founders of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He obtained his M.Sc.

Ghosh joined the Presidency College (then affiliated with the University of Calcutta) in 1909 after completing his school education. degree in 1915 from the University of Calcutta. There he was stimulated by the association of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray and Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose. He was awarded the Palit Scholarship to work for a doctorate at the University College, London, from 1919 to 1921.
