Research Interests

The present thrust of our research is to study the interaction of different structure directing agents with inorganic/organic-inorganic hybrid frameworks to understand their role in the formation of microporous and mesoporous materials. Adsorption, ion exchange, optical and catalytic properties of these porous materials are being studied in detail to explore their potential app

lications. Optical and magnetic properties of inorganic-organic nanocomposite materials. Synthesis of new microporous and mesoporous materials containing transition elements and their use in eco-friendly liquid phase partial oxidation catalysis. Organic-inorganic hybrid microporous and mesoporous materials: synthesis, characterizations and their potential applications. Functionalized mesoporous materials for gas adsorption, ion-exchange, sensing, luminescence and catalysis
