Educational Trip: Induction Program 2026

As part of the Induction Program 2026 for the First-Year B.Tech students, an educational visit to the 29th National Defence Exhibition was organised to provide students with meaningful exposure beyond the classroom. More than 200 students from five different streams guided by 15 Mentors participated in this event which was held on 21st August 2026 at Central Park Maidan, Salt Lake.
The visit offered an opportunity to explore the fascinating world of defence technology, engineering innovation and indigenous development that contributes to our national security. Students witnessed a wide range of modern defence equipment, technological innovations and advanced systems. This will definitely create a deeper sense of pride and responsibility towards the country in young minds.
The enthusiasm, curiosity and active participation of our first-year students made the visit truly memorable. This educational trip as a part of the Induction Program 2026, will help the students to begin their engineering journey with knowledge, inspiration and a broader vision for the future.

🚀 Exploring the Future of Quantum Computing & AI! 🤖⚛️

B.P. Poddar Institute of Management & Technology successfully organised an engaging Awareness Session on Quantum Computing, bringing together 100 third year B.Tech students from all streams for an insightful exploration of one of the most exciting frontiers of technology.

🎙️ The session featured Dr. Ritajit Majumdar, Research Scientist at IBM Quantum, who shared valuable insights into the fundamentals, emerging applications and future possibilities of Quantum Computing, including its exciting intersection with Artificial Intelligence.

🌟 The programme was graced by our respected Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Sutapa Mukherjee, who felicitated the distinguished speaker.

🎤 The audience was addressed by Dr. Jayeeta Chanda , Coordinator, Industry Institute Partnership Cell , who highlighted the growing convergence of Quantum Computing and AI and encouraged students to explore these emerging technologies.

📌 The session was conducted by Ms. Piu Upadhyay and Ms. Sudipta Roy, whose efforts contributed to the smooth ex*****on of the programme.

A wonderful learning experience for our students as they take a step towards understanding the technologies that may shape the future of computing! 🌐✨

NSS(SFU)-BPPIMT UNIT-I (115) has organized the 80th independence Day celebration with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The programme included flag hoisting and the National Anthem, followed by a gathering of students and staff. Food was distributed among all participants. The celebration reflected unity, pride, and patriotism.
