Battle of Whiz coding camp is an initiative by Amrita University to create awareness of competitive programming among the school students. The camp is completely organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering , under the auspices of PACE, the student association of the department. The camp is centred around the theme ‘Bringing Young Indian minds into programming‘ emphasising on the

contest ‘International Olympiad in Informatics‘. The first camp was held in April 2016. 38 students from all over South India participated in this camp. After a week-long intensive training students returned with a hope to become future programmers and computer scientists. Stay tuned for more updates on Battle of Whiz 2!

And that marks the end of yet another season of our camp.. Some genuine reviews from the coordinators and jury were, the students had a very good standard and those who didn't know programming were grasping things very fast.. In effect the camp went really well..
I take this opportunity to thank each one the participants and the coordinators who worked day and night to make this camp a successful one.. We hope to see such wonderful talents every year..

Result Time Guys..!!
We have selected the top 60 contestants who will be joining us for the camp from 19th December to 24th December here at Amrita College, Amritapuri.
We have published the results of top 100 contestants which means that 61 to 100 ranked students also have an opportunity to attend the same if any of the top 60 back out.

'Try till you succeed'..Those who are not selected this time may try again next time..

Announcement time guys..!
Let me thank each one of you for a great response..
Difficulty shows what success is.. That is what we believe in.. We have some technical difficulties because of which the preliminary round of selection, the online test which is scheduled on the 21st and 22nd of November has been postponed.. As per the new schedule we have planned to conduct the tests on 28th and 29th of November..We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and hope that you all will bare with us..
Every sorrow is accompanied by a smile and so does this postponing of the test dates do.. The good news is that the registrations for the test is open till the 26th of November.. !
To put it into a nutshell, the main points are:
New dates of the test: 28th and 29th of November

Hi all, after the success of the inaugural season of BattleOfWhiz, held in association with CodeChef, we are back. The Department of Computer Science and it's student organisation, PACE is all set with yet another chance to showcase your hidden talents and bring out the programmer in you. BattleOfWhiz is a National Level Programming Camp held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Amritapuri Campus for the school students. This time you have a golden opportunity to witness the ACM ICPC Asia-Amritapuri Finals. So, the camp gives you all, a unique opportunity to interact with Asia's best programmers and their trainers. The camp is organised from 19th to 24th of December 2015 and is taken care of and tutored by the professionals of this field. Few other points:
1. Do you want to be one among the 60 participants? If yes, you have a preliminary screening being held online on 21st and 22nd of November.
2. Practice tests will be made available on 14th,15th and 16th of November to get you familiarized with the online test.
