MARTHOMA INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (MIIT) is a pioneering self-financing Higher Education Institution under the Mar Thoma Educational Technical Training and Research Centre, owned and managed by a registered society of Trivandrum-Quilon Diocese of the Mar Thoma Church (Reg.No 1274/90 dt 6th Oct 1990). approved by AICTE ( vide their letter No. It started functioning from 28/11/2002, for starting MCA Course with the intention of creating talented professionals in the field of IT. MBA started during the academic year 2010-1011, based on sanction from AICTE (vide AICTE letter No:- South-West Region/1721484/2010/EOA dated 23.08.2010) Government of Kerala(G.O.(RT).No.1586/10/H.Edn dated 07.08.2010 ) with an intake of sixty students. MARTHOMA COLLEGE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY was established in 1995 by the Mar Thoma Educational Technical Training and Research Centre, is one of the leading iInstitutions of higher eduction in Kerala.Rt. Dr. Joseph Mar Irenaeus, the then Bishop of Trivandrum-Kollam Diocese was the inspiring force behind the founding of this self-financing technical college. At present the college offers Bachelor Degree Courses in Computer Science, Electronics and Polymer Chemistry. Founded by a minority community, the institution keeps its portals open to all, irrespective of Caste, Creed, and Community. And, within a short span of time the college has developed its own infra-structure and has earned an enviable reputation for outstanding academic performance.
