VARNIBHA School of Arts established at Koothattukulam in Ernakulam Dt. Sreedhar Koothattukulam, son of Karivelil Kunjanpillai Achari and Narayani. Raman Master (late) one of his relatives helped him to get an admission in R.L.V. At that time he had to go to
carpentry with his Father. Narayanan a retired Asst. Excise Inspecter who belonged to Viswakarma provided a spacious room to start Varnibha. The birth of Varnibha Arts Acadamy was with lot of limitations. It started with Arts and Publicity. In those days, almost all publicity boards created by Varnibha could be seen every nook and corner at Koothattukulam. Chakrapani Master, Chithralaya, Thrippunithura a well known Artist whose contribution was so great. All possible help from a friend Soman (Late) and his family was eminent also. Gradually Varnibha developed as Varnibha School of Arts. It is natural on the part of the public in the locality not to see this institution as an important one. Barring their age, people came to this institution learning drawing and
painting. People belonging to other districts also came here to learn this art. They are now working in and outside of Kerala as artists and drawing teachers. A three year course recognized by Kerala Government was conducted the then days. When Sreedhar Koothattukulam was appointed as a drawing teacher in Govt. School in Calicut District, his young brother Raman took the responsibility of running the institution. The director of this institution was Sagar Vadavukodu. Mohan, K.R.Vijayan and P.G. Mohanan were worked as Art instructor. In those days a lot of art exhibitions were conducted by Varnibha and did its best to convince the public the relationship between Art and Culture. The registration of Varnibha Counselling Centre took place in 2011. The
Psychology Department known as Manas is now working actively. Dr. Sreedhar Koothattukulam is not only an Artist but also a Hypnotherapist. He is a Naturopathist and a public speaker. The moving of Varnibha is with the mixing of Arts and Counselling. Wife Jayasree Sreedhar and Daughter Sreeshma are also helping. Son Sreekanth who is doing both Web Designing and Photography. This institution has been publishing a cultural magazine by the name Varnibha for the last five years. Velayudhan Vadavukode is the chief editor of the said magazine. A lot of books relating to Art and Psychology has been published so far. Varnibha always stands as a golden feather in the history of Art and Culture of Koothattukulam. It stands loudly proclaiming the need of Art and mental health.
