Why do major difficulties keep returning in your life?
Because when everything is going well, you forget God and the spiritual practice given by the Guru.
You remember God and turn to your practice only in difficult times when you need something. But as soon as life becomes easier, you forget again.
If you were to constantly remember God and remain steady in your spiritual practice, situations that appear insurmountable would not arise in your life.

For 37 years, one of India’s top astrophysics institutes had never had a woman full professor. That changed with Debarati Chatterjee.

A gold medallist in Physics from the University of Calcutta, she earned her PhD in Theoretical Astrophysics from the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics in 2010.

Her postdoctoral research across Europe sharpened her science and exposed her to something harder to quantify. Subtle, structural bias.

Women in theoretical physics receiving less visibility than male peers. Race and ethnicity shaping access in global academia. Class and privilege influencing mentorship and networks. The classic “leaky pipeline” quietly narrowing the path upward.

Today, she is the first woman full professor at the Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics in Pune.
Her team develops theoretical models to decode the interiors of neutron stars and advances gravitational wave science.

With women forming less than 20 percent of astrophysics researchers in India, her feature in Nature was not just personal recognition. It signalled representation.

As Chair of Education and Public Outreach for LIGO India, and through initiatives like Pint of Science across Delhi, Pune and Bengaluru, she is opening science to wider audiences.

She is not just studying the universe. She is widening it.

The Anunnaki were powerful deities in ancient Mesopotamian religions (Sumerian, Akkadian, Babylonian, Assyrian), considered descendants of the sky god An, who decreed humanity's fate, with roles shifting between heaven and the underworld depending on the text, but modern theories, popularized by authors like Erich von Däniken, reinterpret them as advanced extraterrestrial aliens who visited Earth, influenced human civilization, and even created humans for gold mining, though this "ancient astronaut" idea isn't supported by mainstream archaeology.

In Ancient Mythology:

Deities: They were a major group of gods, with prominent figures including An, Enlil, Enki, Ninhursag, Nanna, Utu, and Inanna.

Roles: Initially linked to the heavens, some texts later placed them as judges of the dead in the underworld, as seen in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Worship: Each Anunnaki deity had individual cults, patronizing specific cities and temples, rather than being worshipped as a collective.

The experimental physicist Wolfgang Paul (on the left in the photo) joked that the theoretical physicist Wolfgang Pauli was his “imaginary part” (a play on words based on the letter i, which in mathematics represents the imaginary unit).
The two met in 1950 at the University of Bonn. Paul approached Pauli and exclaimed:
"At last, I can meet my imaginary part!"

🥇The 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret, and John M. Martinis “for their discovery of macroscopic quantum mechanical tunnelling and energy quantization in an electric circuit.”

Using a superconducting circuit containing a Josephson junction, the laureates demonstrated that quantum phenomena are not confined to the microscopic realm. In their setup, countless electrons acted collectively as a single quantum system. They observed two remarkable behaviors: the system could transition out of its zero-voltage state through quantum tunnelling, and it exhibited discrete energy levels, absorbing and releasing energy in precise quanta.

This breakthrough made it undeniably clear that quantum mechanics governs not just atoms and photons but can also manifest in macroscopic systems. Their findings laid a crucial foundation for today’s rapidly evolving quantum technologies—spanning quantum computing, cryptography, and ultra-sensitive sensors.
