Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Kottayam First regional campus of IIMC in South India. It was established by the Govt. The headquarters of IIMC is in Delhi, adjoining Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU).

Indian Institute of Mass Communication(IIMC) is an autonomous institution of national importance under the Information & Broadcasting Ministry. of India in 1965 on the recommendation of an international team of renowned communication specialists from UNESCO and Ford Foundation, USA. The institute has regional centres in Jammu, Aizwal, Amravathi, Dhenkenal and Kottayam. The South India Centre initi

ally functioned at Vadavathoor near Kendriya Vidyalaya, and later in the Mahatma Gandhi University campus, Kottayam. We now run the Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism Program(English & Malayalam) which is of one year duration. Hearty congrats for being selected as a jury member of UNESCO-MIL, Anubhuti Madam! Let the message of media literacy spread and enlighten every citizen of this country. More so, when a little toy in our hands serves the fantastic & the filth of world in milliseconds; and makes every Tom, Dick, and Harry a potential broadcaster. Media Literacy must for discernment.
