The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Malabar Christian College was founded in the year 2015. The department offers Post Graduation program in Journalism and Mass Communication affiliated to Calicut University. Since then, the department has been enthusiastically working to produce professionals with a great deal of exposure to industries and industrial professionals with a bid to
pass on professional skills. Besides the department is also enriching the students by the way of organizing class seminars, debates, discussions, news analysis and reporting. Guest Lectures have been a regular feature in the department. Eminent teachers and senior journalists have addressed the students embellishing their knowledge. The Department has been perpetually striving to bring about excellence in teaching and Academic levels.
