It provides an opportunity for the education of the youth at most affordable cost, especially for the economically underprivileged students from rural villages. Starting from 30 students in 1991, the college presently has 758 students of 40 kilometer radius of Shankaranarayana. Sprawling over 15 acres of land between Western Ghats and Arabian Sea, the college has built up area of 4500 square foot.
Further infrastructure is diverted through NABARD and Government Grants. The college is re-accredited by NAAC and recognized by UGC under section 2f and 12b. The college presently has 12 class rooms and computer lab with 36 computers. Besides this the college is connected with EDUSAT. With growing awareness for higher education in the locality, more facilities are awaited.
