On the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, NSS, Dayanand College of Law, Latur organized a programme in the College on 14 May 2026 to pay tribute to the brave and visionary ruler remembered for his courage, sacrifice, and dedication towards Swarajya and Dharma.

At the beginning of the programme, Dr. Poonam Nathani, Principal, offered floral tribute to the portrait of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Omprakash Jadhav shared valuable information regarding the life, bravery, sacrifice, administration, and contribution of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj towards the protection of Swarajya & Dharma were highlighted during the programme.

NSS Programme Officer Mr. Umesh Khatekar also presented a meaningful poem dedicated to Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, which inspired and motivated everyone present.

The programme was smoothly conducted by Asst.Prof. Atish Tiwari.
The programme was attended by the members of Teaching and Non-teaching.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Internal Complaint Committee and Women’s Studies Centre organized a special program on “Creating a Safe & Respectful Workplace: A POSH Sensitization"

The workshop was coordinated by Asst. Prof. Omprakash Jadhav, The resource person for the session was Adv. Sujata Mane, a social worker from Latur, who shared her valuable practical experiences while discussing the various challenges faced by women in society. She spoke in detail about different forms of exploitation with special emphasis on the POSH Act, its relevance in workplaces . She also thoughtfully addressed the issue of misuse and abuse of laws, while suggesting balanced remedies and possible reforms.

**Report on Legal Aid Camp at Bhoisamudrga**

Dayanand College of Law, Latur, organized a Legal Aid Camp at Bhoisamudrga on 25th February 2026 with the objective of spreading legal awareness among the local community and addressing pressing social issues prevalent in society.

As part of the programme, students of LL.B. II Year and B.A. LL.B. IV Year actively participated and performed two impactful skits on the themes of **“Dowry Death”** and **“Child Marriage.”** These performances were thoughtfully designed to create awareness about the harmful consequences of these social evils and to educate the public about the legal provisions and penalties associated with such offences.

The skit on *Dowry Death* highlighted the cruelty and injustice faced by women due to dowry demands and emphasized the serious legal repercussions under the law. The performance on *Child Marriage* portrayed the adverse physical, emotional, and legal consequences of marrying children at a tender age, stressing the importance of education and lawful age requirements for marriage.

The villagers and local residents gathered in large numbers and watched the skits with keen interest. The performances were well received and appreciated by the audience for their clarity, realism, and social relevance. The programme successfully conveyed the intended message and achieved its goal of raising awareness and encouraging the community to stand against such unlawful practices.

The programme was organised at the instance and under the valuable guidance of respected Principal Madam, Dr. P. P. Nathani. The Legal Aid Camp was organised by the Coordinators, Dr. Subhangi V. Panchal and Adv. Shetty R. R., whose dedicated efforts ensured the success of the event.

Dayanand Education Society’s Dayanand College of Law successfully organized a special programme on 23rd February at 10:00 a.m. in the college seminar hall to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Shiv Jayanti, paying tribute to the life, ideals, and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The event was conducted with great enthusiasm, reverence, and academic spirit, reflecting the institution’s commitment to cultural awareness and value-based education.
The highlight of the programme was a special lecture delivered by the distinguished resource person Shri Shrinivas M. Kachare-Patil, an eminent history enthusiast, educator, and researcher. He addressed the gathering on the topic “मर्यादेय विराजते – The Life & Principles of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.” In his insightful speech, he elaborated on Maharaj’s visionary leadership, administrative excellence, ethical governance, military strategy, respect for women, religious tolerance, and unwavering commitment to Swarajya. His scholarly narration, supported by historical references and practical interpretations, deeply inspired students and faculty alike.
The programme began with a formal introduction and welcome of dignitaries. The respected Principal, Dr. Poonam P. Nathani, graced the occasion and motivated students to learn from the timeless values of Shivaji Maharaj. The event was efficiently coordinated by Asst. Prof. Omprakash Jadhav, whose dedicated efforts ensured smooth planning and ex*****on.
Faculty members, staff, and a large number of students attended the programme and actively participated, making the session interactive and intellectually engaging. The lecture not only enhanced historical understanding but also instilled a sense of pride, patriotism, and moral responsibility among the audience.
