With another first in its list of achievements, beginning with India’

s first and only Free Fall Life Boat, Fast Rescue Boat training and Ship-in Campus facilities; SIMS has extended its maritime expertise to potential areas of research in the recent past. The institute with its post-sea campus established in 2003 in Mumbai by Singapore based Executive Ship Management Pte. Ltd is well-known for offering world-class training for the merchant navy officers sailing in the company’s fleet of over 80 vessels including those on board from oil major BP vessels

It is a matter of great concern that cadets at SIMS as well as the Junior Officers are being made to wait for extensive periods before getting placed onboard.Hence we welcome the suggestions of ex cadets in this regard.
