Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RML NLU), formerly Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law Institute, is a public law school and a National Law University located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 2005, and since then, has been providing undergraduate and post-graduate legal education. It has been ranked among the best law institutes in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework of the Ministry of Human Resource Development in recent years.The University is funded by the state government.

A Historic Milestone at RMLNLU! ⚖️✨

The Centre for Child Rights was inaugurated at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Madan B. Lokur, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, on Day 1 of the two-day National Consultation, “From Policy to Practice: Commemorating 10 Years of the Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015,” held on 22–23 August 2026.

The Centre marks RMLNLU’s commitment to advancing child rights, research, and access to justice for every child.

The National Consultation was organised by RMLNLU in collaboration with iProBono India, Enfold Trust, India Justice Report, Counsel to Secure Justice, and Ashiyana Foundation.

Know Your Alumni | Meet Anurag Bhaskar, an accomplished alumnus of RMLNLU, whose journey spans Harvard Law School, the Supreme Court of India, and leading institutions in legal academia. Anurag has served in key research and administrative roles at the Supreme Court and currently teaches at NALSAR while being affiliated with Harvard Law School’s Center on the Legal Profession.
