FRACTAL, the Coding Club of IET LUCKNOW is delighted to welcome the 2027 batch. After much anticipation we're excited to announce the commencement of your coding journey with us. We intend to create a cohesive and fun community to support you all in the field of coding.

We've been working behind the scenes on something bigggg and exciting for all of you!
Fractal, The Coding Club of IET is highly delighted to see the overwhelming response and it feels great to see your enthusiasm to continue the legacy of our club.
We will be conducting online interviews through google meet in multiple slots from 24-January-2022.
So get ready with your laptop, camera, mic, and code, it's going to be a fun episode.

Hello Coding Geeks!

We are extremely happy to announce that we are going to expand our team, its time to add some fresh talents in the team who can contribute in creating healthy coding environment in the college and take this community & college to greater heights.

All those who wish to be a part of FRACTAL Team, are invited to the interview on Aug 29, 2020.

Interviewees are requested to come prepared with the following topics:
- Basic Programming
- Arrays & String
- Algorithms- Searching, Sorting
- Sieve, Greedy, Recursion, DP
- Data Structures- Linked list, Stack, Queue, Trees
- Stl, Pointers

Besides these, you are allowed to present yourself with other topics if you feel confident in your choice.

We are expecting enthusiastic participation (from 2nd year, IET Lucknow) as the team not only provides an opportunity to shape programming skill in your juniors but also to work with like-minded people and hone your coding and development skills.

All the interested students should contact any of the 3rd Year Fractal mentor to get the link of Interview form.

The form will be closed by Aug 24, 2020, 2359 hrs.

Interview timing & platform info will be shared once we receive all the entries.

Must be feeling bored in the days of lockdown so we are back again with a coding contest on CodeChef(the only thing keeping coders refreshed these days) for you Coding Karo-na.

Mark your presence in the contest for some special goodies and have fun with coding problems!!
Contest will be live on 29 May 2020 at 02:00 pm for 3 hours.

(This Contest is only for first year students of IET Lucknow.)

*Utilize this time by participating in more and more coding contests, learning new concepts and sharpening the DS algorithms.

Kids - Huhh!! one more webinar for quarantine, instead of this I can watch Money Heist season 4.

Mentor - Bro, let me tell you why you have to attend this.

1. There's weightage in the industry of open source contribution. Ex - Adam with open source contribution will be preferred over Alina with some personal project.
2. By contributing to the open source, you'll get to know how actual developer write code. Ex - In starting many of my pull request not got merged as they had extra spaces. Yes just white space which you can't see but it compromise code quality.
3. You'll learn version control, when many people work on a same project then to manage the code and keep it in version we need version control. Yes, I am talking about Git.
4. You'll get the feel of working in teams, also learn how to manage your module when it's divided in teams.

We are pleased to announce that FRACTAL, IET Lucknow in collaboration with Mentorship-karona, an initiative by Tanay Pratap (Software Engineer at Microsoft) in the wake of Covid19 lockdown is organising a session on Open Source Development .
All the Open Source Development enthusiasts are invited to join the session; there you will get answer to all your queries like-
* Why a student should do Open Source?
* A generalized approach to kick-start in Open Source Development.
* How it can help in building a good profile for- 1) Students. 2) Professionals
* What are some good platforms to start practice?
* How to contribute to big open-source projects; just for example django, linux, firefox.

Hello everyone!

We are very pleased to announce that our first year champs have shown a very overwhelming response in our previous task "Six Codes, One Hour".It was a 20 days program organized exclusively for first year students to boost their implementation skills and consistency in March'20.The results were very satisfactory and we are very delighted to see this overjoyed enthusiasm and passion for competitive coding.

Seeing this positive energy, we came up with our next exciting task "CODE IT OUT" to assist our first year students convert their quarantine time into fun, learning and earning. In this task, they are provided with 4 questions of different difficulty levels on a particular topic at regular intervals of 2 days and we are currently tracking the progress of each and every student.

"Stay positive, good things will happen"

The coding fever is on the rise throughout the IET Lucknow. It is not just a matter of speaking, it is evident from the participation in one of the best coding platforms CodeChef. The CodeChef contests are really a boost to skills and we are very glad to see that more than 170 students participated in this February long challenge. Besides these two of the participants, Kumar Gaurav Singh and Aman Mark Singh, are under 10 in the rank list all over the world.

We really hope that this fever would never decrease and we'll achieve great heights in the future.
