He encouraged the students to recognise that their journey at IIM Lucknow is only the beginning, and that the knowledge and capabilities they build here can help create meaningful impact in the years ahead. Their journey reflects the larger vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 articulated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi: building capabilities today that can shape India’s growth for decades to come.

Behind every major business decision is a question of what comes next. Samvaad 2026 brought together IIM Lucknow alumni, industry leaders, and students to explore those questions across finance, marketing, strategy, and entrepreneurship.

Held on 8–9 August 2026, Samvaad 2026, IIM Lucknow’s flagship alumni-industry conclave, brought this idea to life through two days of conversations around “The Boardroom Moment: Decisions Defining the Next Decade.” The conclave was also graced by Prof. M.P. Gupta, Director, IIM Lucknow, who joined the alumni, industry leaders, and students during the event.

Day 1 opened with “Bottom Line & Beyond”, where Vinit Chauhan, Ex-CFO, Standard Chartered; Shivang Goel, Country Head – Finance, Christian Dior Couture; Abhishek Kumar, Principal, UNLEASH Capital Partners; and Dhruvin Chheda, Strategy, Nykaa, discussed career paths in finance, skill-to-role alignment, career transitions, and the realities of working across the function. The “Behind the Brand” panel with Ravi Makwana, CMO, Vadilal Industries Ltd.; Leroy Mathew, Cluster Finance Head, Coca-Cola Beverages; and Niharika Gupta, Brand Manager, ITC, brought similar perspectives from the marketing and sales landscape. Real-world experiences, personal case studies, Q&A sessions, and a fireside chat gave students an opportunity to engage directly with the alumni.

Day 2 moved to “The Crossroads”, featuring Amit Gupta, Global Head of AI Consulting and Agentic AI, Mastercard Advisors, PGP Batch of 2010; Sudeep Mehrotra, Founder & Managing Director, Fourmativ, PGP Batch of 2006; Amit Gautam, Senior Manager, M&A, Deloitte and moderator Sauhard Gupta, Engagement Manager, McKinsey & Company, PGP Batch of 2021. The discussion examined how organisations can turn digital transformation into measurable business impact, covering leadership alignment, change management, KPIs, AI investments, cybersecurity, data privacy, responsible AI, and the wider infrastructure and sustainability implications of the AI boom.

The final panel, “In the CEO’s Chair”, brought together Sridhar Y.V., Founder & Partner, XStrat Consulting Services; Vikas Kakwani, Founder & CEO, AAS Vidyalaya; Pavan Goyal, Advisor, Investor & Mentor and Head of Business Development, Clarista; and T. M. Narasimhan, Managing Director, Motorola. Their conversation explored entrepreneurship beyond the startup narrative, identifying opportunities, building and scaling ventures, navigating uncertainty, and making difficult decisions. A rapid-fire round and interactive Q&A offered students a candid glimpse into the experiences and perspectives of the leaders.

Samvaad 2026 reflected the strength of the IIM Lucknow alumni network and its role in helping the next generation think more critically about the decisions ahead.

Every batch has a first memory. For the PGP-SM Batch of 2028, it was AAGMAN'26 at IIM Lucknow's Noida Campus.

True to its name, and hosted with a Tropical Summer theme, AAGMAN brought together freshers, seniors, faculty, and staff for a celebration that marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

The celebrations began with the ceremonial lamp lighting before the stage came alive with energetic music and dance performances. One of the key highlights was the Fresher's Spotlight, where participants impressed the audience with their creativity and talent before one was crowned the Spotlight of AAGMAN'26. Adding to the fun were a series of quirky awards, including Most Active Member of the Class, Sportsman, Class Favourite, and Meme Lord, celebrating the medley of personalities that marked the first notes of what would become the symphony of PGP-SM 2028.

As the evening went on, conversations turned into friendships, the dance floor filled up, and everyone came together over dinner before ending the night with an energetic DJ party that kept the celebrations going well into the evening.

AAGMAN'26 wasn't just the first event for the PGP-SM Batch of 2028—it was the first story they'll tell when they look back at their journey at IIM Lucknow. Here's wishing them an enriching experience filled with learning, leadership, friendships, and countless memories yet to be made.
